PolyKB III announced !!
With endless, and morphable, analog modeled oscillators waveforms, pristine 0df filters, exclusive Per Voice modulators, and plethora of sound shaping options ( Like dynamic envelope segments control ) the PolyKB II is probably already the most versatile and powerfull analog sounding synthesizer.
Could we offer more ? Simply put : YES
The PolyKB III will be released during December 2016 (Merry Xmas to all) (It’s already working in the depths of the Labs)
It will add more. More of everything, and we promise you’ll be able to create sounds that no other polyphonic synthesizer can do.
Stay tuned !!

Hopefully they fix the graphics and the perspective issue where the knobs actually cover up the waveforms?! Not a very good design decision. That being said it's the most "analog" sounding soft synth I own. I love it.

I just received the text posted in the OP as part of a newsletter from Xils Lab which also includes the PolyKB 2.5 update that is already available today (and already mentioned above and in the old PolyKB II thread).
This is the part in the newsletter about the current PolyKB 2.5 update:
This is the part in the newsletter about the current PolyKB 2.5 update:
PolyKB II v2.5 : What’s new ?
The graphic interface has been revamped in depth for a better workflow and clarity, and more pleasure to create sounds and tweak parameters.
2 new filter types has been added : Band Pass and High Pass, both keeping Xils exclusive zero-delay algorithms, specially adapted and taylored for the PolyKB
New modulation possibilities using the sequencer as source : now 4 tracks can be used as independent modulators.

The screenshot on the page is pretty bad, but it actually doesn't look like this was changed. I'm away from home, haven't tried the demo yet. Not sure what to think, they either removed or moved a lot of the panel elements. The big mod matrix is completely gone from the center, might have been moved to behind the "cassette" panel. Looks pretty boring now actually.Doc Brown wrote:Hopefully they fix the graphics and the perspective issue where the knobs actually cover up the waveforms?! Not a very good design decision.

In v2.5 the mod matrix and other stuff like Arp, effects etc. are available with the new switch at the left of the GUi (that looks a bit like a fader).jbuonacc wrote:The screenshot on the page is pretty bad, but it actually doesn't look like this was changed. So, a new user pays (discounted) full price to buy PKB 2.5 now, but then he has to pay again to upgrade to III in about a month. What kind of BS marketing is this, let me ask
???????

Yeah, I loved the original design, wasn't too thrilled when I saw this. Love the sound and function of Xils Lab synths, but the graphic design bothers me sometimes.aMUSEd wrote:tbh it looks worse to me, I preferred the old gui
