Classic Verbs for Fabfilter PRO-R with SUPER Black Friday Special

As Fabfilter writes:
"FabFilter Pro-R takes a musical approach to reverb, offering user-friendly, non-technical controls like Brightness, Character and Distance to achieve the reverb sound you are looking for — without requiring a degree in reverb science."

The beauty is that, due to the ability PRO-R has to manipulate the Decay Rate AND contains an additional Six-band Post EQ, very powerful tonal shaping is possible.

This brings a very useful capability to manipulate instruments/vocals in the mix that would otherwise be slow and cumbersome.

"Classic Verbs" bring a collection of very complex reverbs to PRO-R designed to help the user "place" instruments and vocals very specifically in the mix based on tonal characteristics.

Count me in :)
Love your presets!!

Post

I have nothing against this but the problem is they work good for this song and instruments and how they are performed. But in a another song all presets may be wrong. It's not too difficult make your own presets after all. It's just pure laziness.

Post

Personally, I am not lazy, I make my own presets all the time and have for years
I also know the difference, and Steve work is exceptional.
The quality is high and the price is low.
The quantity of presets is always considerable with variety of styles suitable for all sorts of genres.

Really, no need to insult those that purchase his presets.
Having had the good experience of working with them, I know the difference and will purchase these also.
At the very least they speed up my work flow and offer presets I have not made myself.

That doesn't make me "lazy", it makes me better informed.

I thought this didn't have plates?

Well, Fabfilter states in the manual:

"Beautifully designed room models, ranging from small ambiences and rooms to large concert halls and huge cathedrals"

BUT, having said that, if you look at the factory presets you do find several plates, chambers and vintage reverbs as well as other non-room and concert hall reverbs.

So I look at like this :) , with the proper settings and tonal characteristics, PRO-R can essentially do a broad range of spaces other then just rooms and concert halls.

Perhaps they are saying PRO-R is capable of everything from small rooms to huge cathedrals.

BUT, they also include "oil cans" in the factory presets so, well.....

Really, I find that it excels at shaping the spaces intuitively to fit the track/mix.
This allows for some very nice layering of spaces with an excellent visual of the frequencies.

Some reverbs FX can get muddy when layering them.
Do to the excellent GUI, PRO-R reverbs can be layered while avoiding some of the pitfalls of other reverbs.

I have a ton of reverbs but would love to get a tempo based shimmer for a project.
Kind of a blooming reverb on the beat that shimmers out.
Will this thing shimmer like that?
Can you make this?

Yes, There are lots of presets that take advantage of both of those features.

Not sure why people have jumped on you for making this point.

I think it does highlight a degree of laziness when peope are happy to invest in around $50 for a plugin eg Valhalla, Eventide, Unfiltered Audio and then happy to fork out another $19.95 for a set of presets. Fair play to Steve for tapping into a quite a large market of 'producers' who haven't spent the time to learn the basics of how reverb and delay works.
