hi all
I am seeking an alternative for "mouse's middle click in Cubase"
you know...drag the piano roll page to any direction you want
in S1v3 middle click gives you a toolbox
and pressing ctrl/shift/alt are not helping at all
any idea?

If you're on PC I suggest you to use X-Mouse Button Control (it's free). You need to setup profile for Studio One and change Middle Button behavior to "Change movement to scroll" and it will work.

No, but you can edit multiple MIDI events in one window, like this

but thanks anyway

not sure if I'm doing in the wrong way
but I find Studio one 3 is quite counter-intuitive when it comes to multiple midi editing

1.
even 'Link Track Selection' is on
clicking the track list inside piano-roll wont activate midi input for that track automatically
the only way to activate midi input is by selecting the track in the track drop-down menu
(right under paint tool & eraser)

2.
however
if 'Link Track Selection' is on
selecting the track in the track drop-down menu will kill multiple midi track display
'Link Track Selection' is off
multiple midi track display can be maintained
but it will keep the previous track to be editable

lets say I was working on track1 and then select track3 in the drop down menu
now both track1 & track3 are editable
if I use mouse wheel to scroll down the drop down menu
all tracks are now editable WTF

to make things worse
every track seems to has its own zoom state
things are OK when the tracks are selected through piano roll's track list
(same zoom state)
but not when they are selected through the drop down menu

let alone double-click resets zoom state
I googled a bit
looks like F2 is the only way out

I like the scale + controller lane design very much
but things I mentioned just kill my vibe
