Copy protection changed from serial nr. to C/R.
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Copying and pasting sections has become clumsier as there are little menus now, hence more clicking. Also in the display I think there is one menu level more than before.
On the positive side, the inactive phaser bug was fixed.

PS: Where have you been? That update is not exactly new...

If I have Sylenth 2.2. installed, should I re-register my copy when installing 3.0 update over it?
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

The License.dat file has been replaced by a license code in Sylenth1 v3.0. To get it, just request a new license email:

Here's a list of what's new in v3.0:

• Now supports both 32 and 64-bit VST and AU on both Mac OS and Windows.
• Added GUI resizing to any size.
• New high resolution skins for high dpi monitors.
• Fully customizable skinning options.
• Added support for the latest operating systems (Windows 10 and Mac OS Sierra).
• Optimized audio thread and multithreading.
• Optimized RAM usage by sharing among instances.
• MidiLearn menu via right mousebutton on each control.
• Support for sandboxed hosts added.
• Added soundbank menu for quick access to soundbank files.
• Added support for UTF-8 characters and fonts in many languages (including CJK).
• Improved Pitch accuracy.
• Improved responsiveness of VU meter and many other controls.
• Optimized voice manager.
• Sample accurate automation added.
• License activation has become much easier and quicker.
• Phaser initialization bug fixed.
• Negative phase issue fixed.
• Midi (N-)RPN bug fixed.
• Numerous other minor bugs and problems fixed.

Coming soon (free updates):

This has actually become more intuitive. Number of clicks are exactly the same (click down opens menu, click release selects the item), same goes for the waveform selectors.

Which makes it a lot cleaner because there are now more menu items. All items can now be configured with hotkeys which improves workflow over the old version.

This has already been fixed.

Why is it the same number of clicks?
In the old version copying, say, filter A to filter B required 3 clicks (C, switching to other layer, P). Now it is 5 clicks (Menu, Copy, switching to other layer, Menu, Paste).

Anyway, might be useful to give the two big layer buttons the menu as well, so that one can copy an entire layer to the other layer, or init all sections at once.

So, no improvements in sound... still no PWM?

Not really a great update imo

No it's still 3 clicks. To copy press the left mouse button down on the settings button to open the menu, hold it down and drag to select 'Copy' then release it. So it is still one click (just with a very small drag in it). If you do this a few times it's really just as quick as it was before.

PWM can be easily done by modulating the Phase. There'll not be a dedicated PWM knob.

It's a FREE update for all Sylenth1 users...

Doesnt mean its great. Sound improvements would be more welcome than "improved resposiveness of VU meter"

It's actually a complete rewrite of the user interface (which was needed to switch to 64bit on OSX because of Apple lack of support for 64bit carbon).

In the rewrite we have integrated a fully flexible skinnable and freely resizable gui, with improves responsiveness and has a highly optimized audio thread. Meanwhile preparing for AAX and VST3 support and ensuring compatibility with future operating systems.

I'm very sorry that because of the tremendous amount of work this free update has cost, we didn't have time left to make improvements to the sound part yet..

Hi
Copy protection changed from serial nr. to C/R.
Was the serial number version being cracked (obtained freely) that much?

After all these years it seems odd to introduce C/R.
