I would also apreciate the sequencer from dune or an arp into legend, you can buy more advanced soundbanks with cool arps and sequences, Diva also added the arp later in 1.3, and a lot of cool new presets are available in soundbanks

Too far away from the original.sacer wrote:I would also apreciate the sequencer from dune or an arp into legend, you can buy more advanced soundbanks with cool arps and sequences, Diva also added the arp later in 1.3, and a lot of cool new presets are available in soundbanks

non-Minimoog Legend presets are exactly what we do not want.sacer wrote:I would also apreciate the sequencer from dune or an arp into legend, you can buy more advanced soundbanks with cool arps and sequences, Diva also added the arp later in 1.3, and a lot of cool new presets are available in soundbanks

Don't quite get the argument. Having 4-voice polyphony, unison, and onboard effects is also "far away" from the Minimoog. It is a question how much functionality you can ask for on a 99 € synth, on the other hand. And most DAW's feature an arp, or step sequencing anyway, not to speak of dedicated plugins, which can offer even a lot more functionality in that regard, so...

A workaround since you can't save the info in a patch but using BlueArp and/or Kirnu in front of The Legend yields some quite satisfying results.

Polyphony is a bonus that software allows us. Its not really an additional feature like an ARP that would require an incredible amount of code/UI work.chk071 wrote:Don't quite get the argument. Having 4-voice polyphony, unison, and onboard effects is also "far away" from the Minimoog.
I would never buy a soft synth that was mono. Despite what some devs say, there is NO excuse for not having some polyphony.
As for the FX, dont need them, not fussed. They are hidden anyway. If you had an onboard ARP, you want that on the main screen. It then messes with the concept.
One of my hosts has a built in ARP anyway...

So which "we" is more important, yours or ours?

Don't know about the coding - Synapse also has Dune/Dune2 which features an elaborated Arp/Sequencer. They don't have to build st like that from scratch.AnX wrote:Polyphony is a bonus that software allows us. Anyway, still very satisfied with my Diva, it has polyphony, arp, velocity modulation, and in a mix no one cares if the Legend does emulate a Moog some percent better...might be important for the obsessed knob fiddlers, well ok, let them have it...

OK... the old "in a mix" argument.... lets see if any devs bother updating their moog emulations....after all, who can tell the difference...2ZrgE wrote: in a mix no one cares if the Legend does emulate a Moog some percent better...might be important for the obsessed knob fiddlers, well ok, let them have it...

Yeah, don't really need an onboard arp either, with so many options available externally. I do get the polyphony argument, although i'm guilty of breaking that "rule" with some great sounding monophonic synth.AnX wrote:Polyphony is a bonus that software allows us. I don't really know if Legend is authentic or not, but it's one of the best sounding software synthesizers I've ever used. Sequencer? Arpeggiator? Nothing it could have would be better than a third party plug in anyway, so I don't see the point. I'd much rather them add velosity and aftertouch controls.
I'll never turn down polyphony, but if the sound is there, why not? I own several kick ass sounding analog monos. I'm for sure buying RePro-1 this year. Legend too, and I already own Roland's System 100. I'd buy their SH2 plug in as well, if they added last note priority.

find the .zip file of the A/B vs the hardware. The link is earlier in this thread.zerocrossing wrote:I don't really know if Legend is authentic or not, but it's one of the best sounding software synthesizers I've ever used.
