We're feeling festive here at Rhythmic Robot, and rather than decorate the place with tinsel (electrically conductive... fire hazard) or fake snow (wreaks havoc with membrane switches... corrosive fumes) we thought we'd just knock back an industrial quantity of mulled ale and turn on all the synths so we could look at their pretty little lights twinkling away in the darkness. And just like that... a competition was born!!! :hyper:

Here goes, then. We took photos of eight of the synths currently kicking around the lab, in the dark, and it's over to you to ID them from their LEDs alone :D If you get all eight right, you win a thing. (We have yet to build the thing, but believe us, we will, once we sober up, and you could win it.)

Competitions have RULES and those RULES are:

1) You need to list the eight synths correctly, in the correct order, to win: we want manufacturer and model name. Some are old, some are modern. Some are easy, some are veeeerrrrry haaaaarrrrrd
2) You can have as many stabs at it as you like.
3) You can collude and help each other out.
4) First person to post the correct answer Wins The Thing*
5) To give you a bit of a helping hand, Mongo has scribbled on the pictures with his crayons to give a (vague) impression of the shape of the machine.
6) If you're truly stuck, a browse around http://www.rhythmicrobot.com is likely to yield a few clues
7) May the best synthhead win!
8) Oh, and we've got a seasonal sale on, too.

And now... RELEASE THE SYNTHS!!!

Yeah... did we mention the Seasonal Sale? Cos it's on now. Oh, right, we did already. So that's done, then :hihi:

Good luck!

*Nature of Thing yet to be determined, but – kinda obviously – probably some sort of cool Kontakt library 8)

Wow... well, we did kinda think it might take people a few goes to get it right. Instead, you seem to have nailed it in one. Congratulations on Winning A Thing (drop us a message on the site and we'll hook you up)... Meanwhile, Mongo and I may add a couple more synths to the lineup and institute a Second Prize, just to give other folks something to chew on. So watch this space...

Obsessively triple checking seemed to do the trick, I guess, haha. Was torn between various synths for 3 and 6 in fact, but was ultimately able to find the answers. Hope everyone has fun with said Second Prize!
