5.5.2 instruments actually open just fine in 5.5.1 and 5.5.0, just FYI.
However if the instrument is using a particular scripting feature that had a bug which was fixed in 5.5.2, you'll have issues opening it in 5.5.1 or 5.5.2 (obviously).
