I made many tracks over the years, I like some very much. I put them on soundcloud, I put them in forums, but it dont satisfy me...
Is there any way to put them on beatport and itunes and youtube without being an expert in marketing a.s.o.?
I dont want to make money with it, I just want tobe on the market with my music, and maybe some people play the music in clubs or listening to it at home. But now it is not much for me. Anyone has an idea, or what do you do with your music?
I dot want to show my music here because I dopnt need criticism with fopcus on my music and jhow "good" it is, I just want to ask what I have asked.
Thanks alot!

Send it to a label. If they like it and find you worthy, they will release it and do all the marketing for you.crazyfiltertweaker wrote:I made many tracks over the years, I like some very much. I put them on soundcloud, I put them in forums, but it dont satisfy me...

What is your goal? Do you want to sell your music? Do you want other people to play or just listen to your music? What exactly is it that you're not satisfied with?
I don't see the point of soundcloud as a sole outlet for one's music. To me, it's a vehicle for other goals.

Depends. If it any good the companies will steal it. If it isn't any good, well, then you have a nice hobby

No. The chances you have to turn viral is very slim, you might as well buy a lottery ticket... Unless, of course, that the music videos you create is tailor made to go viral.crazyfiltertweaker wrote:Yes, that is the question!thecontrolcentre wrote:Without marketing, how will anyone find your music?

"i think i'd just like to share culture, not have to worry about buying and selling it, why isn't there facilitation for people like me?" it's an interesting consideration.
who would want to go to a site to listen to music when you can just go to a site and buy some music? these are crazy thoughts. you could write a book about why no one seems to want to listen to your free music, then sell the book. people would be interested in that.

so which one gave you more awareness of the universe that you ever possibly would be aware of more?

Yeah, that first track is no way better than three hundred times the second, just sayin, love that discount though.xoxos wrote:"i think i'd just like to share culture, not have to worry about buying and selling it, why isn't there facilitation for people like me?" it's an interesting consideration.

But yeah, to be somewhat less abstruse, of course there is plenty of facilitation for "people like you." Bandcamp is awesome and you can use it to find likeminded artists. I'm gonna give you the secret. Just know that I don't normally share this, but, if you want people to listen to your music, you have to, wait for it, listen to theirs. You have to like and comment, you have to engage. If you do that, you will find some audience, it might take a while, but you'll find it.
If you don't like Bandcamp there's always archive.org. I have, literally, hours upon hours of unlistenable nonsense on archive.org. Some people do listen to it, which always amazes me. Lately I've been trying to test people's patience on Bandcamp, and, no, in case you're wondering, they don't like to listen to an hour long drone that barely changes.
Hearthis.at is awesome because listening to your own tracks counts as listens so you can bump your way into the "charts" in certain genres. Just make sure that it's a genre that not many people listen to. I've charted several times over there.
Nothing wrong with this, just be honest with yourself about your goals.

I'm sorry, but years of excessive media consumption have left me so apathetic that I can't even muster the enthusiasm to lift my index finger and press it to a song link on my consumer electronics device. But at least I wrote this text to explain why I didn't listen to your songs. I'm sure they're lovely. Ooohhh! New Depeche Mode track... gotta run!xoxos wrote:"i think i'd just like to share culture, not have to worry about buying and selling it, why isn't there facilitation for people like me?" it's an interesting consideration.
