Maybe you should put this info in the first page, the first post and in the first sentence
Sounds great.
Now we just need the release - always nice to have a new toy for the weekend.
But I guess it's one week to go...

First of all: Great concept, Manuel! You'll have another customer next week
Also good idea to show all the possibilities by using youtube video's. I think it's appreciated by lot of people instead of flashy commercials.
Couple of questions:
- The surprise button in the library part: Is it possible to midi control it? I suppose it is and saw your video about the controller feature, but just want to be sure about it.
- Will it be possible to use the surprise button only on parts of the library, for instance if I want to be surprised with only pads and arps, you select the PA and AR categories and you click 'surprise'?
- The surprise button: Will it work for the whole library or only per pack/XP?
- Will it be possible to use an encoder (Midi CC) to select presets in the library? As a keyboard player, this would make my life a lot easier.
Cannot wait for the 1st of december!

...something like this would be cool indeed. But I guess, using program change message would be more appropriate for that - then you'd still 128 midi ccs at your disposal as well as 128 program change adresses.C-quence wrote:Couple of questions:

Massive and FM8 allow to compile preset lists that can be controlled via these messages (a feature that's often overlooked). It would be cool, if Avenger would have something like this as well. And maybe a feature that - provided, that the browser had a favourite rating system (slips my mind atm) - would copy these favourites automatically in such a preset list (maybe internally handling a dedicated preset list for each main category). It just came to mind while I was reading that...

To be honest, I really hate the Massive/FM8 system having only 128 presets and that you have to compile a list.loachm wrote: ...something like this would be cool indeed. The Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol system where you can use the knob and encoders being able to dial and browse through the lists is what I would like, but I don't prefer buying an (imho) expensive controller keyboard for that purpose. I guess it should be not that hard to program it into the vst?

According to the developer, program change or custom bank addressable with program change messages are not going to happen unfortunately due to unpredictable loading times (Avenger has to load samples in many presets).C-quence wrote:loachm wrote: ...something like this would be cool indeed. I can imagine that! The thing I prefer is not the same like program changes, but like the Komplete Kontrol system, where you have to press a button to load the selected patch/preset after having scrolled through the list using a rotary encoder. Hopefully that will be possible with Avenger without having to buy a Komplete Kontrol controller and importing the FXP's of Avenger into that system...tripleflows wrote: According to the developer, program change or custom bank addressable with program change messages are not going to happen unfortunately due to unpredictable loading times (Avenger has to load samples in many presets).

...well, implementing this in VSTi is about as old as both synths are - and that is 10 years now - and not many other synths offer this, at least to my knowledge. I think, coming from Kore, it was also mainly intended for live use and I guess, there aren't many events, in which you'd need all 128 programs. It was just a quick idea, while I read your comment and thought the good old midi protocol, as dated and limited as it might be, can be quite useful and I think, it's full potenial isn't tapped very often (btw - Komplete Kontrol, Akai VIP, Novation Automap - they all use host automation, which is different than midi). But, as tripleflows stated, it's not going to happen...C-quence wrote:To be honest, I really hate the Massive/FM8 system having only 128 presets and that you have to compile a list.![]()

This is exactly what sells it to me.
I used to like all those fancy trailers, but now I think they hide more than they tell, and it puts me off.
Big plus for regular tutorial reviews as pre-release sales material.

Yes, it´s a very very appreciated thing. Also a manual pdf before release is another big plus since i love to read the manual to get a nice general feel of what a synth can do (or not) and i ask too many dumb questions otherwise (i will anywaykevvvvv wrote:C-quenceAbsolutely.good idea to show all the possibilities by using youtube video's. So 199€ incl. tax? Then i will pass on the Reaktor 6 (even when it can do more in theory) sale and will get this for sure.
Beside a few things i will miss it seems it is the dream synth, feature, workflow and GUI wise ,for me.
I hope there will be a demo to try but i think i would even buy it without one in this case (Falcon also suffers from it).
While reading the whole manual pdf i'm getting excited more and more...
