Well that's frustrating, why is it installing alongside 1.6 for some of you, whereas for me it's overwriting 1.6 ??

Well, it is quite simple. 1.6 is installing in folder Predator (Predator.dll) and 2.0 is installing in folder Predator2 (Predator2.dll), so yeah, you got 2 different dll's. Nothing to overwrite

All of my old songs that used Predator are now loading empty instruments instead of loading Predator 2 or 1.6.... you call that simple?

I am wondering if you installed to the exact same location or...hmm. That is not good no matter how you slice it. Which DAW?

edit; ah, i see your edit. You're on mac. Then i have no idea what happened. I use Windows. And there i have 2 different dll's in 2 different folders (automatically made by the installer)

Ableton Live 9.5

I think this issue has to do with using the AUs specifically, not the VST.

Because when i look in my VST folder, sure enough the Rob Papen folder contains both Predator and Predator2. But my AU ("component") folder just contains Predator2 now, as explained earlier.

Which is bad, because I used the AU in all of my songs. I'll try re-installing 1.6 and see if I can get the old AU version to exist with the new one, just like the VSTs seem to do by default.

UPDATE to my issues --

I had to install 1.6 again (after the version 2 installation) to get the AU of 1.6 to show up alongside the AU for version 2. (The initial install of 2 overwrote the 1.6 AU file.)

So, to anybody using this in Logic or using AU's in whatever host, you'll need to re-install 1.6 to get the .component files showing up for both Predator and Predator 2

Too subjective to answer that....P2 sounds different than P1 due to the additional features but better is subjective.

The P2 zip is under 120 megs here or are you talking about the whole Explorer Suite ?
