The earlier version is on your account page. If you press the button to download version 2, you can find the older download beneath the new download.
Thanks so much! I can't quite celebrate, though, because when I downloaded Predator and opened it, the GUI didn't open properly - it was just a column of the perimeters. In Logic, there's a toggle with the editor button in the upper right of the plugin, and when I clicked on controls, it just showed a column of dials...so, somethin' ain't right. Of note, perhaps, the regular link downloaded, but the download didn't ignite, so I tried the alternative download from Dropbox, which completed the download operation and installed...but the above-described goofy way. I'll try again tomorrow, but, theoretically, why would I even want to reinstall Predator when 2 appears to have everything 1 has...I'm already turning into the fox...

Yup, after installing eXplorer4 on El Cap 10.11.5 with d Logic 10.2.4, the original Predator is still there, with this brand new GUI :D

Hey, looks just like mine! :) And when I restarted my computer, I was able to get the regular Predator GUI, but when I opened P2, I was blessed with that screen shot you posted (like my P1 surprise). I ended up removing the Predator AU to get P2 to load up properly.

You know, I have to say the old GUI is much better than P2's...there's just not enough contrast. While I really love the new Predator, the GUI is quite disappointing - but at least it's got a big-screen option.

All is working fine here.

I don't wanna scare the heck out of Rob Papen but P2 needs a complete and total gui overhaul. It looks like the many average beginner synths (usually done on synthedit), that I have seen throughout the years. Seemingly over-filled with knobs and a simple colour scheme (due to bad gui layout), that makes the whole UI look unintuitive. I.e. you have to use your eyes and your brain more than necessary to hook into the gui and then do the work. It should be much smoother and easier than that. And yes, once one gets used to it, then it becomes second nature, but just as important are first impressions, which hook people for the sale.

Comparing the upcoming competition, the gui here is a major downside. The new features and the sound are the saving grace, but the gui just about cancels that out.

Upcoming Avenger looks amazing, same with the Repro-1, Viper, Cell (if it ever arrives) and PolyKB III. Also you are competing against Hive and Sylenth1, which have great and easy to use guis, even inspirational to many.

I know it's all about the sound and features but I too am disappointed in the gui. Rob could have made an attempt to improve the way it looks after all these years just to freshen in up a bit. It looks exactly as tired as the old one did after all these years.

As noted in my post a few pages back, Rob is aware of the UI darkness issue. There's more to the problem than meets the eye (I'm not at liberty to discuss). Just know that he knows, and if at all possible, it'll get looked at again.

I'm not so sure, most people I know think Sylenth1's GUI is pretty ugly, even though it's a little better in v3. That doesn't seem to stop them from using it.

agreed, Sylenth1's GUI is not the best example if you are trying to slam another gui

It would be nice if you could convert waves to the Predator format.

For me, the strange part on the gui is the background of the manager screen, i don't like its color.
On the other hand, the old Predator with big gui is just fit on my screen,
but the new is greater in height, so it expands outside the screen...

Anyway, I'm satisfied with it's sound and the features.

After making a rescan in Prisma, Pred2 appeared there too.

As far as Sylenth1 is concerned, due to its popularity there's a huge variety of opinions on the gui, and there are people who completely disagree with the assessments of the usual KVR group opinion.

Personally speaking, there's nothing ugly about that gui, esp some of the alternative skins.
