Good wines plugins are not released before their time.

This is really shaping up to be an awesome synth. Of course I already have both Omnisphere and Falcon, neither of which I've ever found the time to really dig into. But I kind of feel like the workflow in Avenger fits better with my tastes... a bit like a cross between Massive and Serum. I think this is going to be a must-have.

Exactly what i think too. I have Omnisphere 2 and Falcon but i could imagine this to be a lot more fun to program. I mean nothing beats Omnisphere´s sound sources but for the synth part Avenger seems to be far better and more interesting to me from these 3 monster synths.
And the GUI is way way better (for me) too.

If that is the case then the $200 price is a bargain.
Perhaps in any case it is a bargain at $200
I will however wait for the reviews to see how I can use it for ambient music.

I will use it mainly as ambient, chillout and cinematic sound machine too.
Not sure if that will work but from what i saw it could be the synth i was waiting for (minus a few things).
And it is just version 1.0!

Avenger has pretty advanced modulation possibilities, I'm sure it can be used (like most other synths) for ambient music. It's just a matter of how skilled you are :)

I have a question about the Drum tab. It looks like one can disable the Drum Sequencer via the Drum Sq button in the Route chain? Is this so one can play the drum samples from the Drum tab via keyboard or DAW piano-roll directly (as opposed to needing the Drum Sequencer to trigger the samples)?

I hope so - I can definitely see using the drum kits, but would prefer at times to do the sequencing from the DAW piano-roll directly...

Ok, I just read the comments on the YT video for the DRUMS. Looks like that's a yes! :tu: :tu: :tu:

"you dont need to use Avengers internal Drum Seq... when you turn it off, you can play the drums like a midi drumkit, so you can trigger it from your DAWs piano rolls. Thats the better and most comfortable choice."

I will see. I miss a simple way to do a kind of vector based synthesis or wave sequencing.
But i could imagine that this could be done via the sample stacker.
I just wish there would be a single envelope to crossfade between the samples.
Maybe there is? Didn´t find info about it in the manual or video.
I know there is a seperat volume control for each stacked sample but then i need a modulator for each one.
My go-to for very experimental, evolving and moving pads is still an iOS synth called Mitosynth which uses a kind of vector based synthesis (but on steroids...up to 32 sound sources).
It´s very simple in general but i failed to recreate this in all other synths i have including Falcon, Omnisphere etc.
It´s possible to get similar results but you need a thousand times more and a bunch of modulators instead of just 1-2.

Great post. I have similar interest and questions about Avenger.
Seriously interested the purchasing it.

So Avenger has a sample stacker as in Phalanx?
That would be great!

I forgot to ask...is Avenger multi-touch ready?
Means will it focus on one parameter or will it let me change several parameters at once on a multi-touch device. Devices like the surface studio could be interesting here then.
