Not if you're after the ultimate Pro One emulation.

Any technical reason for JAWs being unlikely? CPU too demanding?

I'd love to see Diva's chorus in Repro-1 or slightly less so, two Lyrebirds. I'd really appreciate the ability to use a combination of chorus and delay on the same patch within Repro-1's interface. At the same time, I really dig the Classic and Ensemble modes in Diva's chorus and prefer those to the results I've gotten out of Lyrebird thus far.

Right. Except for Repro's crazy modulation ranges and capabilities, which Diva can't do. Or the more advanced filter modeling. Or the fact that nothing in Diva has the same oscs or filters. So yeah, almost.

I guess for the same reason I'm against adding a bitcrusher effect or anything: Why jump through hoops to make an utterly beautiful sounding synthesizer, only to destroy the tone in a distortion effect?

I think JAWs is great for a strictly mono synth, I think it wouldn't blend well with a poly synth.

(That said, we're adding a wavefolder to Zebra2, but on a per-voice basis)

I found a chorus or phaser "wrong" for Repro-1 for the exact opposite reason as above - It's not a synth that's gearing towards pad sounds mellowness, it's got an attitude. So I found it a good compromise to make a Chorus a sub-function of Lyrebird.

However, if we ever manage to create a horizontally scrolling rack for the stomp boxes, I'll happily add a second Lyrebird (or a Diva Chorus) to Repro-1.

It will go to high rates. You need to multiply an lfo x lfo, and then use multiply as the mod source (making sure the LFO's are set to 0.1 sec). Though, even at max rate, it seems RePro still goes faster :)

Just use a separate chorus/flanger plugin

I dunno Urs, the MS20 modules in Diva sound pretty raw to me, as do the more recent Roland oscs and Oberheim filters. Diva is definitely capable of being beautiful sounding, but she can be harsh and ugly sounding in the right/wrong hands. She also has a perfectly functional mono mode, so while Jaws might not work on poly sources, Diva already does mono very well. So basically, I think Jaws would work in the Diva paradigm with the right settings.

Lobbying campaign over.

This thing is stunning

I was one of those who banged the polyphony drum very loudly when Monarch was released, but I'm so lost in this instrument (Just playing presets, as I'm not really a programmer), and haven't really found myself yearning for anything more (Well, save for another 1000 presets). This thing really stands out, and that's great for leads, Basses, plucks, arps etc, and I'm sorted for pads in so many other ways.

Been demoing alongside Phonec 2, and they really compliment each other. So much vibe going on

If I buy it, it will be my first monosynth, and my first U-he product :tu:

I just downloaded the test version to check out and see if I would like to purchase. There is no sound from the pulse wave on OSC A. Even with no modulation, just straight up playing a note with the oscillator switched to pulse, filter open, nothing.... what am I missing?

Thanks.

It was a bad installation. Re-installed and everything seems to be working the way it should. Thanks!
