Hello Peoples!
I'm self-educated in mixing mastering.
I play on guitar generally.
I have some questions about
final mastering proces.....
about limiting
here some pictures from wave lab
1st one is Pro mix artist Dave Marton
Candian Guitarist
http://www.nalbi.hotbox.ru/good.jpg
2nd is my mix but my limiter always
http://www.nalbi.hotbox.ru/bad.jpg
CUT out peaks
this is hapen when i try to get some Loudness
-12 RMS or -11 rms
I push treshold on my limiter but my peaks
begin look ugly......
I'm have lack of knowledge of Ifundamental rules in
Exporting levels in my CUBASE SX , mixing levels in output bus
You know......
Here in Bulgaria There is no place where to study
basis of mixing and exporting and
mastering....
Sorry about this beginner questions
What I must to do
What is your masterin chain
Pls give me a principal base to start
what level for export in peak meter in Cubase
Then bus compression or .......I dont know
Im Sorry for that
regards with respect
SORRY FOR MY unlettered questions.
here some audio clips

I think you might want to:
A) think less about how it looks and more about how it sounds.
B) Compress in two stages. First a compressor with a bit of attack time (Maybe a multiband). And then a limiter to cut down the peaks. (Stereo image processors go inbetween, and EQ can go first or inbetween.)

Limiters work by cutting off the peaks.
Use a compressor to reduce the level of the loud parts.
If you compress too much you will lose the dynamics of your tune.
-12 or -11db may be too loud. -15 is good enough, especially if tou don't want your peaks cut off and a distorted sound.
Try using TL Maximizer (free)as your final loudness tool, or something more professional. It uses a read-ahead algorithm to shape the peaks.

Now I start from here
In cubase export at - 6 db
then in wavelab
first put in chain
Hi - pass filter 20 hz or 30 to take some dB's
Multiband C4
and L2
May be I miss something in mixing process.... Confused
But I fabricate that chain
I didnt learn anything about rulez
and principles about Mastering chains
Again I'm self-educated.....
Thanks again for attention

That sounds about right. But, hey, there is not one fixed way of doing things to get the super pro sound.
You have to listen, closely, and carefully and give some thought to what you want to achive.
