If the mods are cool with it, it's okay i guess. Personally, i like it, when the demos give a good representation of what the product is capable of, and if they're well made. But, of course, it's a free way of advertising. Again, if the mods are cool with it...
Actually, this site is important for my buying decisions, so, i frankly think that a bit of advertising can be anything but harmful.

No, I'm just stating the facts. You can check the Falcon thread for yourself. Once I pointed it out to the mods they agreed that I was not in any violation in doing this as long as I just posted the demo and no sales page links.kurodo wrote:Wags knows every trick in the book that's for sure.Sampleconstruct wrote:

Look, even though Simon would probably prefer if I vanished off the face of the planet, I have absolutely nothing against him. He's an amazing sound designer and has actually inspired me for a couple of my future synth purchases. I was going to get that one granular synth because of his demos (can't remember the name) until I discovered, as did others, that it doesn't work in Cubase. I was really bummed about that.
Simon is a super talented guy who I am sure is extremely successful, and deservedly so. I just want to be treated equally by the moderators, which they have agreed is fair.
I don't think that's asking too much.

My friend, this whole forum is a free way of advertising. Have you seen half of what goes on around here? Did you know that if you go to the official MuLab support thread, at the top you will see an ad for my library. I didn't pay for it. The forum software, for whatever reason, just decided to put it up there.chk071 wrote:If the mods are cool with it, it's okay i guess. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Personally, I love when people let me know about things that I might be interested in. I don't get all bent out of shape about like some do.
But to each his own I guess.

You're wrong, why would I want you to "vanish off the face of the earth", less drama please. I had you muted for a while then de-muted you again as I was reading your posts anyway when others quoted you. My allergy against you has cooled down, I now try to accept you as what you are, there is enough room on KVR for all of us. What was this RAPID thing again?wagtunes wrote:No, I'm just stating the facts. You can check the Falcon thread for yourself. I know I'm an odd duck Simon. And that's being kind about it. I'll leave it at that.Sampleconstruct wrote:You're wrong, why would I want you to "vanish off the face of the earth", less drama please. The Rapid thing is just a special offer to coincide with Parawave's generous sale that only people reading this thread will even know about. It's a flower JPEG at the bottom of the page that takes them to a special discount. Anybody else going to that page wouldn't even know where to look.
I'll leave it up for as long as Parawave is running their special.

I'm more concerned about when every member on KVR is starting to post ads about their soundsets. If the mods already have allowed a few, then they can't say no to others wanting to do the same.

I hope i don't see those endless soundcloud pages everywherestarflakeprj wrote:I'm more concerned about when every member on KVR is starting to post ads about their soundsets. If the mods already have allowed a few, then they can't say no to others wanting to do the same.
But i think it's O.K. if that belongs to the plug-in or shows a demo about it if the mods say so.
As long as we don't have to scroll trough the whole account of every ever made soundcloud upload
Anyway soundcloud is the worst quality for streaming one could use....yes i use(d) it myself

That is always a risk, and I don't want to scroll through pages with people posting ads nonstop about their soundsets, even if it is in the "proper" threads.Cinebient wrote:I hope i don't see those endless soundcloud pages everywherestarflakeprj wrote:I'm more concerned about when every member on KVR is starting to post ads about their soundsets. I have posted example patches I've made with whichever synth, but not for a commercial soundset I am working on myself.Cinebient wrote:I hope i don't see those endless soundcloud pages everywherestarflakeprj wrote:I'm more concerned about when every member on KVR is starting to post ads about their soundsets. Do you mean the general forum ads, or the thing in the upper left, where you can add products which are relevant to the thread, if you happened to post in the thread? The general forum ads won't show up if you haven't advertised with Google ads, or likes, and the thing in the upper left, you can add yourself, and if you haven't, then someone else who posted in the thread has.wagtunes wrote:My friend, this whole forum is a free way of advertising. Yes, all future updates included. And because a few Mac people asked: Yes, when buying now for Windows, of course the MacOS X version is included in the license.kiezum wrote:The feature roadmap looks promising. Will these future features be free?
@SoundCloud:
I don't mind SoundCloud links in this thread, as long as they include sounds, presets or demos that are partly created with RAPID. So people, show me what you got!
