That's confirmed , PKB III presets will load in PKB II.5, and missing data will be ignored (leading to possibly no sound at all, in certain situations)Lotuzia wrote:PKB III --> PKBII.5 presets compatibility : Iirc, PKB III presets will load in PKB II.5, and missing parameters (ie possibly a lot) will simply be ignored.
Otoh :
PKBII.5 --> PKB III : 100% compatible.
You'll note that, if you have the PKB II/II.5, then install the PKB III on the same machine, PKB III will install in the same directory than PKB II, and your preset pool will be shared among both synthesizers, avoiding the burden of copying/exporting/importing presets from one version to another one. Totally transparent install.

What would be nice i think would import and export of patterns for the seq. Or be able to lock the pattern to try out different sounds with the same pattern.

Noted. You can already save your sequencer presets, independently from the preset itself, then browse presets, and simply recall the sequencer preset you want to explore in situ.( its the little text zone 'polysequencer' found right to the main output and clock knobs). A bit longer than 'locking it' but still usefull.boombaxx wrote:What would be nice i think would import and export of patterns for the seq. A tutorial explaining the Per Voice XY modulation system :
Though the demonstration is based on an arpeggio because it makes things very easy to understand, I'd like to add that the Per Voice modulation system is also terrific with regular playing. If you add slight variations and play chords for example, it will give a new life to any presets. You can use it to taylor your own 'analog drift' for very organic sounds, or make drastic variations to produce parts that can't be done in another way (and pseudo polyrythms, as you can specify the number of voices/balls). If you have more questions about the Voice XY system, and how works exactly, I'll try to answer.

I have experienced the same in FL Studio 12.4. When scrolling through the presets with the down button the last preset in a category will crash the plugin.Lotuzia wrote:Thanks for the report. Not very obvious but i see it now. What i meant was import and export in midi format or drag and drop into a new track or from a midi file into the sequencer. I think this would be great for a polyphonic synth

Thanks for confirming it Robotmonkey. I think it's very probably be a regression bug, because it was working ok before, but the last version fixed some bugs with the custom tag creation tool of the preset database, wich is in the same 'code area'. Xils are working on it, so expect it to be fixed in the next .xx release.robotmonkey wrote:I have experienced the same in FL Studio 12.4. This is how I understood it, no worries. I nevertheless hope that the fact you can save/recall your own sequencer presets will help you and make your experience better with PolyKB series.boombaxx wrote:Not very obvious but i see it now.
