Does tomorrow mean 00:00hrs tonight midnight?
Been waiting for this to be released and have benn hassling the guys at Vengeance - due to a deadline - to sell me one earlier - didn't work - for a job where using Avenger is going to catapult me to film composer superstardom

Haven't been this excited by a new synth since Omnisphere

yes there will be a demoversion

sid presets... there are many in the factory content :) I love to design them :D

no releasing at night is a bad idea. If there went something wrong, you can not react.

thanks a lot ;D

before the release and too many questions you get i hope this one is not dumb ;):

- what shall i only use/what do i have to select at parameters (e.g. only specific wavetables etc.) to get the authentic SID sound only? so i dont use more what SID couldnt do.

It seems that the synth is certainly very good - based on what I have seen in the videos.

Still, I would like to state that I will buy the synth asap, because I personally respect how you Manuel have treated people here, by being open and informative, in a very mature and calm way.

Thank you for respecting and valuing potential customers. The copy protection decision is also a good thing in my eyes. Paying customers should not be suffering because of those, who choose not to obey the common rules.

There are lot of us, users, who want to support the developers. There should also be more discussion what we can collectively do to create a change to better regarding this topic.

@Demus An
thank you :)

what do i have to select at parameters (e.g. only specific wavetables etc.) to get the authentic SID sound only?
most important: a Pulse as OSC model, which you can PWM modulate etc... also Noise, a bitreduced Sine/Tri
and of course we have many Wavetables with different PWM modulation variations :clown:

How can I make the clock runs faster ?

I didn't buy anything during BF/CM in order to bring this bad boy home.

+1
Indeed. The same feeling you would feel in the beta testing. Everything is clear with a very active developer while Manuel is the same fair and generous person, so that buying the product to support Avenger's team is a natural reaction :)
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

The answer re Nexus makes sense. Despite the protestations, I think Avenger is likely to significantly eat into Nexus' market.
not necessarily. If you argue that way, every synth on the market, which is capable of EDM sounds is a competitor to nexus. In fact, Avenger has a total different approach than Nexus. While in Avenger you can design every bit in the sound, Nexus is a preset player. And this is no negative thing, quite the contrary: Nexus is very easy to use, fast to use and browse, has extraordinary low CPU consumption (I can open more than 50 Instances in a project!), it has a gigantig high quality library, growing since 10 years, and last but not least, its capable of large (cinematic( libraries, due to its architecture.
For music producers / composer, which are focussing more on producing a track, than sound design, Nexus is still the ultimate tool to get.
I know it's offtopic, but i don't want to open a new threat...
will there be an nexus update, regarding the browser, if you have expansions from these 10 years than it's not easy to browse to a sound, also you can't read some expansion or preset names, because the names are to long, maybe a browser tag, for type (basses, fx, arp etc) and sounddesigner cross the expansions would also be nice. I don't believe in a open nexus 3, because avenger seems to be the more advanced tool on the wishlist for sounddesigners.

Post

indeed, there are plans to expand Nexus' browser in a future update :)

Post

This was probably discussed earlier, but is there a conventional PWM feature? Or is that only accomplished through the use of wavetables?
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Post

no, you can bend the waveforms in any direction, basically when selecting a normal square you can bend it left and right and have PWM... of course you can also bend sines, saws, or whatever wavetable you loaded

As a user, I'm really happy to hear this and hopefully Nexus will also use the same authorization method as Avenger in future. :)

Nexus is indeed great as a preset rompler and I use it for that, I think the similarity to Avenger is from the programming of the signature sounds from Manuel. Avenger on the surface is way more than that, I think the only it doesn't do is sample round robin. Certainly not a priority for me as that leads to a whole new level of complexity which is better handled by Kontakt etc. Really looking forward to this one.
