Avenger getting 3 page review, 10 out 10 rating, as well as Ed's Choice, Performance and Innovation awards, in latest Computer Music
They compare it to Omnisphere 2 and Serum, so it can double up or take over for those synths?
"[Serum got] Better wavetable editing, but Avenger wins in all other regards"

I really hope that the new authorization system is working out for Vengeance but I have my doubts...
Anyway can't wait to test this beast and wish Manuel and the Keilwerth guys a great product launch!

I think it is plain stupid to compare avenger with omnisphere 2 as omnisphere is no wavetable synth. Avenger has no half baked granular part. Omnisphere has a laaaaaaarge Sample Library too etc.Numanoid wrote:Avenger getting 3 page review, 10 out 10 rating, as well as Ed's Choice, Performance and Innovation awards, in latest Computer Music

Avenger should be compared to Serum, Rapid etc
Now please Start the Avenger vs Rapid very soon

I didn't realize that Avenger hasn't been released yet.

BTW, Keilwerth Audio might find it fitting to add a new news item to their website six years after the last one, when Avenger launches December 1st.

Will Avenger require Steinberg eLicenser?

Of course they had a deal or it is paid or it was a friend of Manuel who wrote that. No matter how both parties may deny it. Anyways I'm going to demo it and see myself how good or bad it is. Personally it don't need another edm synth (which it clearly sounds like) or expansion collection. Featurewise it just looks like a mix of the last 5 popular synthsNumanoid wrote:I didn't realize that Avenger hasn't been released yet.

I have almost every synth under the sun.
The only synth in this league is Falcon.
Where I like this over Falcon is that it is infinitely easier to program. The layout is as flawless as you could want. Everything is right there in front of you.
Sound wise, it can do a whole lot more than EDM but unfortunately, because that's the world we're forced to live in, that's how this thing has been showcased, at least so far.
Trust me. After programming close to 100 patches, this thing is capable of producing just about anything including 70s prog, 80s new wave and even acoustic instruments.
This has hands down become my favorite all around synth.
Even if it can do supersaw, wub wub crap.

Might i ask you how you find the cpu usage compared to Falcon with similar complex patches.wagtunes wrote:Look, I don't have a horse in this race so take these comments with a grain of salt.Gregorius wrote:Of course they had a deal or it is paid or it was a friend of Manuel who wrote that. I love Falcon but i can´t get nearly as wild as i want because of cpu (and lack of multi-core support).
I was hoping Avenger fits better here. The GUI at least already looks much better and user friendly to me.... but still have to try for myself.

I don't even have the synth yet but I am 100% confident due to the extensive videos posted and the manual. How somebody can be in any doubt is beyond me. This thing is going to be epic!
.. and I also have almost every synth under the sun (including Falcon and Omnisphere 2).

I think the same. The only thing which scares me was the cpu in some of the videosbmanic wrote:I don't even have the synth yet but I am 100% confident due to the extensive videos posted and the manual. How somebody can be in any doubt is beyond me. This thing is going to be epic!

Honestly, I haven't been paying attention to it. But the patch I have loaded now, with 4 notes held down at once, is around 15%. That's 2 oscillators.Cinebient wrote:Might i ask you how you find the cpu usage compared to Falcon with similar complex patches.wagtunes wrote:Look, I don't have a horse in this race so take these comments with a grain of salt.Gregorius wrote:Of course they had a deal or it is paid or it was a friend of Manuel who wrote that. I'd guess that this thing could really pack a CPU punch if you went hog wild. I don't see how it can't. But that's true of any synth this complex. My Omni 2 has buckled on me with some of the patches I've created. After 20 instances, I have to start freezing tracks.
That's simply the nature of the beast.
