I trust your judgement, usually.recursive one wrote:I knew that this guy will be crucified, but TBH, most Avenger demos I've heard show very clean and precise but on the other hand somehow thin, bland and characterless sound. Rapid is totally opposite to that, it sounds fat, bold and saturated yet pretty detailed. However, I may agree that Rapid fetaure set may seem restricted by today standards. These always seems to be some sort of trade-off between flexibility and good sound right out of the box, but if given a choice I always choose the sound not the fetaures.chk071 wrote:Don't bother. Something for Manuel to consider, but I bet he knows already.
I did 4 tries to download the 4GB file. All 3 of them stuck at approx 80% (but was downloading very fast).
That's 9GB of wasted bandwidth just for a user, and bandwidth costs a lot.
Something with your CDN?

As stated in my previous post I resolved, thanks. Before I checked also my spam folder (it was months since the last time I did) and found out how much scam I received laterNimrod7 wrote:Was instant in my case. Check the spam if you haven't done already?Shandar wrote:Just bought it!![]()

Mmhhh...actually i have the same on the latest OSX, Logic on my Macbook pro retina 15" (late 2013).frz wrote:I've been playing with the demo for the last 2 hours and at first glance this synth sounds really amazing. I'm already getting used to the workflow and I'm impressed with the modulation options it offers. Congratulations to team for this great instrument.
Currently I'm having an issue with the GUI: whenever is displayed it raises my CPU load by a good 40%, I start to hear all kind of crackles and the vent spins like crazy. When I close it the CPU drops and the glitches disappear, even with multiple instances and complex sounds it doesn't get over 15%.
Is it a known issue? Any way to fix it?
I'm on a WIN10 x64 machine, 8gig RAM, nvidia card.
Thanks
When i open the plug-in the fans will start and it´s getting hot in a minute. Never had that with any plug-in. Maybe the GUI is very demanding and needs a proper graphic card?
Seems it´s a case of...you have better demoed it before....my fault.
Would be great if it could use some of the apple´s metal api for GUI (if that not already is the case or if possible....i don´t know).

Yep, there is definitely something wrong with the GUI open, the fan starts kicking in like crazy (using Retina displays here on Mac). I demoed it for about an hour in two sessions and I haven't yet understood the hype about it.

If anything I didn't mean that Avenger sounds bad, it was just my impression from the Youtube demos showcasing the presets (the most reliable way to evaluate the synth, huhchk071 wrote:I trust your judgement, usually.recursive one wrote:I knew that this guy will be crucified, but TBH, most Avenger demos I've heard show very clean and precise but on the other hand somehow thin, bland and characterless sound. Out of curiosity Simon, what is it about the synth that strikes you as, I'm assuming, just average or thereabouts?Sampleconstruct wrote:Yep, there is definitely something wrong with the GUI open, the fan starts kicking in like crazy (using Retina displays here on Mac). Just had a hard crash in Logic when trying to import multisamples, no crash log unfortunately.

So far it's mainly causing computer fans spinning and DAWs crashing.

Same here. On my PC laptop, fan kicks in and runs high continuously with Avenger open. If I hide the plugin (but keep it in the project), it seems to chill a bit. I only experience this kind of thing with one other app on my machine (my trading platform with too many chart indicators loaded).Sampleconstruct wrote:Yep, there is definitely something wrong with the GUI open, the fan starts kicking in like crazy (using Retina displays here on Mac). But, I love the sound of this thing. And the features. I love this thing. She's a beauty! And sounds amazing to me. Exactly what I've been looking for.

I see, if a sample is not named in accordance with the Avenger scheme and you try to load it, the DAW just crashes, maybe the sample just shouldn't load instead or a warning message could pop up, no?Sampleconstruct wrote:Just had a hard crash in Logic when trying to import multisamples, no crash log unfortunately.
