I thought you said you entered the contest this month, as in submitted a track. If you did, you can vote.TheNeverScene wrote:Just read the voting rules! So much for this month! Lol. Good luck to ALL!

So the 40 posts stipulation is for those who didn't enter? After rereading, it appears so. I was a little bummed, so thanks for the good news.wagtunes wrote:I thought you said you entered the contest this month, as in submitted a track. FWIW, I too struggled with the kick...to the point that every time I rendered, the kick sounded different. After stripping out all of the envelope/voice shenanigans, it was finally almost stable

That's how many were listed as not being bypassed in Reaper project bay. It's possible that a couple slipped by with only muting stopping them from doing any thing.pylon wrote:Only 61? ...slacker!_A_O_ wrote:61 instances OBXD
I made a lot of patches! I only used one patch from the FXP bank other than init, just because there was no time to make another that struck me the same way.
I read what you said about the gray area of FX here. Even EQ can push it past what the synth by itself is capable of. I've seen Poulin amps in here. I wouldn't mind if they tightened the rules, but as long as they don't... "You can use a little" is not enforceable.

It's probably time for me to clarify this rule further. Thanks for letting us know about the confusion

The only thing I'm sad about in this competition is that no-one complimented the Flute I made. I spent like 10 hours just making that by itself.

Voted.
Well, interesting month that's going to prove a lot of things, at least to me.
Gave out no 1s this months. Lots of 4s but only four 5s.
Here they are.
Games We Play (OSC93 OBDX) (Didn't realize was Jasinski until I just went to SC page)
Orboscope - Sapphire Shade
New World (5 points just for the music)
TheNeverScene - Surface Tension
The 5th slot for top 5 is up for grabs. Could be any of the 4s.
One track this month really surprised me. I expected much better. Don't know what happened. Very curious to see where this person finishes. It will tell me a lot about the voting.
As for my own entry. Based on the amount of time spent on it, the dramatic improvement over past entries, I expect to finish in the mid 20s. With 45 tracks submitted, should I have yet another finish near the bottom, it will finally confirm that people here either hate me, my music or both and I can finally walk away from this competition with my head held high knowing it wouldn't matter what I submitted.
And now that I have said my peace, either way, I can finally retire from this totally unpleasant experience and not look back. I'd love to say these OSCs have been fun. They haven't. Not even close. My ego takes enough of a battering in everyday life. I don't need this place to batter it anymore than it already is.
Good luck to all the contestants.
Hopefully, those who deserve to win this will win this.
