Question: What plug in can give me a whisper vocal effect like the waves morphoder? I got a ton of plug ins and really don't want to go the waves route. Looked around on the internet but no luck so far.
So now it's up to you good folks. Thanks.

I really like Morphoder but since you are wanting to avoid Waves. You could try Izotope's Vocalsynth or Sonivox's Vocalizer Pro(which is on sale @ Pluginboutique.com for $19.99) and TAL Vocoder is free. I have all 4 and each works slightly different.

Hi bob,
Gave the TAL and the Vocalizer a try. Only have a limited time now, but when I put the plugs in the FX chain I get instance silence.
Is this some kind of vocoder thing? I've been doing this a long time. Not sure what's up. Tried cycling through a few presets. Still silence. Weird.

They all require a small amount of setup to route the carrier, modulator and MIDI signals to create the effect. It is a little different depending on the plugin and which DAW that you use. You can take a look at the user guide for Vocalizer pro here: http://sonivoxmi.com/products/details/vocalizer-pro

checkout Tal's vocoder
Preset named "c noise speech"
32 bit though but on a Mac 32bit lives works great in Logic X

Then there is Zynaptic's Morph..
Not sure if this is a perfect fit for what you want to do. But they do have a 50% off sale until early Jan. It's a good time to get it, if it works out to be a good option.

Hi musicdoc, reviving this old post... Have you found a good fit to replace morphoder for the whisper thing? I was wondering the same today. thanks!musicdoc wrote: Fri Dec 02, 2016 2:47 am Question: What plug in can give me a whisper vocal effect like the waves morphoder? thanks! got that sheet on my favourites. I've tried the TAL but can't get close to the same result. The iZotope VocalSynth seems more than capable, I might give it a try; though I'd need to justify the price by using it for something more than just the whisper trickplexuss wrote: Sun Jul 02, 2023 1:08 am There might be some good ideas in this Waves alternatives sheet
