With the app sales, I finally bought an Arturia product. It's the first time I've tried to use an Audio Unit 3 plugin inside GarageBand on iOS. It worked great, until I closed the song, opened another, and then reopened the one using iSEM. The presets were restored wrongly (one was wrong, the other three were okay) and there were tons of playback glitches.

This is disappointing because the initial experience using the iSEM plugin in GarageBand on my iPad Pro was quite fun until that happened.

Hello Jace-Beos,
sorry about this issue,
in order for me to investigate on this one, i would like to know your Ipad pro model, IOS version, garageband version, and Isem version please.

if i understand it well, you opened Garageband, loaded the Isem, started to work on a project ( i'll call it project 1), closed it. Started another one( i 'll call it project 2). then reopened project 1, which became buggy.
So it leads to a few questions :

- On project 1 , did you launched the Isem one time only, or did you have at least 2 tracks using Isem?
- Before closing this project 1, i think you saved the project, but did you save Isem presets you've made?
- Before reopening project 1 , did you close project 2?

It may take some time to answer, thanks for your patience anyway, and thanks in advance for your reply.

best,

Hi germain.arturia, thank you for your reply. To answer your questions:

iPad Pro 12.9" (I had it plugged in at the time, so it was not using battery)
iOS 9.3.5 (still not sure if it's safe to go to iOS 10 for all my apps)
iSEM version 1.3.5 (current version)
GarageBand version 2.1.2 (current version from September)

On project 1, I launched iSEM more than once. I loaded four instances of iSEM. Before closing project 1, I did not save presets because I was using the factory presets and had not changed them at all. GarageBand does not allow the user to have more than one project open at a time. The only way to change projects is to save the current one and close it (which is all one action from the My Projects button).

I did not have any other apps running while I was doing this.

I just spent about five minutes testing this just before posting this message and have not been able to reproduce the problems (the only difference between then and now is I don't have my iPad plugged into an amplifier right now).

Hi Jace,
thanks for your feedback.
i checked on my side with same configuration.
did a project with 4 instances of SEM (using interapp audio protocol) . No issues when recalling my project.
As you seem to not reproduce your issue, i unfortunately can't provide more help for now.
I'll keep an eye on this anyway.
To be more reactive, feel free to send me a private message if this issue still occurs.

Best,

Ok, I will contact you if I experience more problems with iSEM. Thanks for checking.
