I tryed to modulate the volume of the stacked samples (the cycles at the right) but it does seems not to work. I thought it would be usable as mod destination too.
In general i like the sounds and modulation options here but it is def. the most demanding synth on cpu i have now (if i have the GUI open).
I also have a lot cracks and drops here and there even when they GUI is closed.
It needs multi-core support...if possible.
Sure this was never made with notebooks in mind but it would be great if i could use it together with a few other synths.
Even Kaleidoscope is more cpu friendly (and this is a hungry beast).
I bought it straight away and i will try to make the best out of it but it will be hard to be usable for me at the moment.

There is also a PWM wavetable within my 78 wavetables available at the free content downlaod at the official website.
This wavetable was craeted using Resynthesis of PWM in my Novation Bass Station II (modulation of the PW using the mod enveloep in the synth). This is bipolar PWM so the Square is at the center of the wavetable. This should correspond to a pulse width between 5% and 95% (with 50% = Square).
Ingos tables are really nice, anyone should check them out

Ok can I add a request, importing a single way is incredibly clunky, please can you use the functionality and system you use in Phalanx. It's very intuitive and basic but functional, simple loop options and setting of root note is all that's needed. I am demoing Phalanx at the moment and it's so easy to use, you have the tech to do this already.

FWIW the "Random Wavetables" which are the majority of those were created using the random wavetable feature in Icarus.

As just mentioned teh PWM wavetable was based on resynthesis of teh PWM in my Novation Bass Station II.

The "Glass" wavetables were based on Resynthesis of hitting real crystal glass. You coudl also check this thread wher the work on those was posted originally:
http://www.tone2.org/forum/index.php?topic=2418.0

The "Supersaw" wavetable includes the supersaw waveform of different Supersaw synths inclduing the real thing and also Diva.

I already read this the first time you posted it ;) We are currently checking if we WANT this. Since Phalanx is exactly our tool for that. We do not want to make it obsolete, as you can understand. We will see, I think we can find a solution for this.

For my test, i used a basic PWM wavetable
then it was this wavetable. Please try the harmonic sine as described.
PWM is something you should do in realtime with our "formant" knob :)
Yes, i got the hang of it. (most of) The WT's itself sound good.
I also discovered the right mouse button to fine tune, which makes a difference as well in changing the index- and formant-fknobs. A slow LFO on the Formant F knob (with the basic waveforms) sounds good. :tu:

However, there are some (build-in, from Vengeance itself) WT's which sound bad and steppy. For instance the PWM Pulses in the folder Wavetable Synthesis. Especially with slow LFO settings.

A well, i am just nitpicking here. 8)

This is unusable in Full HD. You have to make the screen max at 80 percent and even then you barely can read the tabs. But you cant go to higher values because the GUI is already gigantic.

I think unproportional sizes in UI between text and other parts is just a big failure and ruins the first impression :(

I mean look at Bazille in comparisom. It has more knobs and stuff going on, but even at same size its readable, where's in Avenger it is not.

yes i also reported this yesterday, the fonts are very bad, not readable :( very blurry. this should have been noticed in the beta all the way.

Totally understand, it seems like Avenger does everything so intuitively that this function has been dumbed down on purpose. Trust me after demoing Phalanx I will buy it any way as it's a different beast to Avenger even if Avenger had some of its functionality. On a side note re Phalanx would you ever consider selling it with no content. Like a lot of composers I have so many drums sounds and one shot samples, the included content, which is great btw is more of what I have already.

Back to Avenger which is really something the more I use it, congrats.

It amazes me, this is probably the best all round VST/workstations ever made, possibly one of the most advanced synthesisers ever made...and everyone just seems to be complaining!

Anyone just joining the this thread would just see a moan fest on what should be a calibration of an amazing achievement.

I have Flacon, Serum, Diva etc etc...any one may be better in some respects, but I have not come across anything better around as a synth in 20 years of doing this, and it is amazingly easy to use (I haven't even looked at the manual yet and have a dozen new patches). The FX, modulation possibilities, range of oscillators...mind blowing.

This is the real deal- sure, there are a ton of small teaks, improvements that I am sure will happen over time, this is literally just lunched and is amazing on release and amazing value.

So, I will say it ' Amazing Job, Well Done, Congratulations!!
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Welcome to KVR where people just love to bitch.

It's no wonder that I hate it here.

*edit while the last point, adding a hz readout is very easy to implement in one of the next updates, if this is really necessary. But paralell filters will not come, at least not in the very next time.
...damn, I was under the impression parallel processing could be done via the effects busses when I asked about that a few weeks ago, but I guess, it was a misunderstanding on both of our sides (ich schreibe vielleicht das nächste Mal besser auf deutsch :)). It's a bit of a shame, as I was really hoping to find something that would allow me to do most the creative sampling and synth work I do with Kontakt & several synths in just one plug-in. But, as it's not there, I can understand that implementing parallel routing at this point would dramatically interfere with your development and I guess, you guys are currently swamped with all sorts of things to work on. However, I really hope you might consider this for the future. All the best for the launch and your development of Avenger. :tu: I've definitely not lost interest and I'll continue watching it. :)

thank you, like I said, its on our (long) list of improvement-ideas :)

just checked it, it works! But the modulation LED rings are missing. notated, will be working in the next update :tu:

Seems like a bad buisness decision to make something so fundimentaly harder.
