I know its not a very good approach, but I only own one microphone and I'm wanting to experiment with some voice effects in Cubase. It's a Labtec USB mono mic. My soundcard is an M-Audio Audiophile 2496.
Aside from that bit of information, I have no idea how to procede to get the mic output recorded in Cubase. Any suggestions?

In CuBase you should select the LabTec Mic as the audio input device, not the Audiphile. Since I do not own one I can't tell you weather that will work, that is weather the Labtec's driver is selectable within CuBase.

Thanks, but the Labtec doesn't show up in Cubase. I was hoping there was a setting somewhere to allow it to show up in the list.
