Does anyone have a similar problem with the font?

I'm running the 64 bit version in linux with wine, same issue.
Thought it was a wine problem, guess it's the 64 bit version, then.
I will check the 32 bit version too.
EDIT ---
No change, but I'm fine with it

Unfortunately, my DAW can't run plug-ins in 32-bit mode. Looks like I'll have to work as is

Logic Pro X Users: you have to run logic x in low resolution mode to get synth 1 to work. go to the application, option click and select "get Info" and then select low resolution mode.

Are you scaling the UI? Seems to happen at the higher end but I can live with it as opposed to a tiny UI.asi4 wrote:Does anyone have a similar problem with the font?

Yuppers. This is what I found out:Hanz Meyzer wrote:Just want to let you guys know that the filter of synth1 is broken in the Mac osx 64 bit build. So either use your daw in 32 bit mode, or remove the 64 bit part from the universal binary of the vst plugin...
- Mac VST beta ver.7 is 32-bit only and does not contain the new filter mode, everything else seems fine.
Using lipo to thin out the universal binary on beta ver.8 gives one full functionality including the new filter
...only as 32-bit.
If you load the AU as well you could have that version on Beta ver.8 and the VST on ver.7 and use as required, provided you have bridging support in your DAW.
Going back to Windblows
enables one to just use Beta ver.8 and not waste a chunk of time

Yes, that's the first thing I thought of. Scaling GUI does not helpH-man wrote:Are you scaling the UI? Seems to happen at the higher end but I can live with it as opposed to a tiny UI.asi4 wrote:Does anyone have a similar problem with the font?

Finally that OSC test for commercial plugins I was asking!
Very interested on how this turns out.
Guess I have to enter this one.

Hey guys,
I have got a problem here with Synth1 and Wine 1.6.2 running on Ubuntu Studio 16.04.
All text based menus like patch bank window or the effects menu are completely empty. Everything else on the main GUI is written out as it should. Rather inconvenient, isn't it?
In the past this problem didn't exist. I haven't been using Synth1 after updating Ubuntu to the current version, so this might be the culprit. All respective .dll files and fonts seem to be still in place as far as I could see.
Solutions anyone?
TIA
Ruedi

whats all this talk about commercial plugins being used?
i thought the deal was stock and freebies only. if u can't make a decent mix with the crazy amount of tools we all have, then its hopeless with expensive 3rd part plugs as well. i have tons of softube, slate, fabfilter, uhe, sountoys, etc......and I can get 90% of the way there without them. kinda silly when you think about it, paying a premium for a smidge of goodness.
anyhow, my damn Synth 1 64-bit AU filter is broken too. not the end of the world, but a bit of a disadvantage. it works fine with 32-bit AU on LP9, but I can't stand LP9 now that I'm used to LPX.
Good luck all.
