Hey,

I boughtsome CD decks and a mixer etc recently, and getting into it quite a bit now. I know you vinyl DJ's probably laugh, but i'm having fun :D

So i was considering getting an FX unit to add a little something to my Djing, and i seen this Alesis Ineko thing on ebay. Its only about £80 brand new, and it has 48 effects, each controllable by 3 simple knobs. Includes delays, reverbs, filters, flangers etc

Seems like a good buy, but could do with an opinion before i part with the cash.

Also, i guess i'd need some kind of switcher box so i could switch which deck is using the FX unit, could i get such a device?

Cheers

I have the Ineko and it is fun. I spin w/cd decks too. You might also check out the Alesis AirFx its really more performance oriented...great filters!! also if you can find an "Old" Korg Kaoss pad used. I still get great use out of it. The Ineko is a little more recording oriented as its tougher to go from one preset to another on the fly....some kind of switcher for one deck or another would be a tough one-does your mixer have an fx loop? I have a elctrix EQ Killer w/2 channels and an FX loop that would do the trick...for the most part I just line up effects on one deck or the other...of course you could buy 2 of everything  ...anyway the Ineko has some great sounds, its just a little tough if you want to go from one preset to another....Cheers!

I have 2 of these lil' critters. They really do have quite a unique sound.
Cool filters, bit destruction,Panners. Dont expect much from the reverbs though.
I recommend getting one, it's great when you want a trippy sound and just want to tweak real knobs in real time, cheap too. :D
Oh also really, really great tape delay simulation! 8)
