Interesting. If only I knew where to find the entry list.

I am not waiting for answers. I made up my mind. From the start, if you look at my "KVR Developers Challenge 2016 Wish List" at the Everything Else sticky, you will find that this Random Midi Arranger software is the main type of software that I was wishing for. The other type is is a soundfont explorer software. I wasn't really wishing for more synths and sound-shaping tools. For the most part my wish came true and I'm just expressing my gladness and appreciation. That's the only agenda I have. This Random Midi Arranger software could have been made by anybody who has the skills and time and desire. I have no clue about the person who made this product. The guy doesn't seem to be active, forum-wise.Taron wrote:You know, it's good to inquire about things you don't understand, but it's bad to pick sides while you should be waiting for answers!
By the way, I'm not "asking" you to change your thread's title, I am suggesting it! This is unless you want to appear "scheinheilig", which may translate as "hypocritical", but it doesn't quite fit the bill. It literally means "to pretending to appear holy" or for that matter "innocent", while driven by a different agenda. Get your cred back while you can!
True, I am taking sides but this thread is all about that. Anyone can take side and express what they think should get their votes here. Equal opportunity to expose people's "sides". Are you worried, as a developer that your product is underexposed? Well voters can expose any products here, including your product, Taron. It would be nice if they explain why they think such products impressed them, via video or whatever.
I mean I still have 4 votes left and although I'm not that interested anymore about more synths and sound-shaping tools I still want to use my remaining votes and like I stated before, this thread might be helpful in making up not just my mind but other people's minds as well. I guess you could call it sway but to me the only swayers are the products themselves. Everyone may state what they like about such and such product and their reasons might be something I totally missed or never considered and because of that I, and other people might check it out further and see for myself/themselves and if the product themselves are not convincing enough then no amount of hype is going to change anyone's mind? But at least people might bother checking it out.
There are about 40 DC16 products to check out and there is ONLY about 14 days left to thoroughly check out all of them, as opposed to "briefly" check them out. And so if a lot of people are mentioning your product or whoever else's product then maybe those ones might get priority in terms of people's desire to fully check them out?
I'm just about to finish a video of me testing and playing around with Random Midi Arranger and will provide a link here to that video later. Hopefully other people will make videos, or whatever, of their "will-vote-for-that" favourite DC16 products too.

Boy, oh, boy. So challenging to believe in the future sometimes...
Anyway, I'm not worried at all. I wrote my vst with total joy and the same joy goes into finding this outlet. My only worry right here in this thread is the degree of wisdom that can be expected from the next generation, assuming you're still rather young.

That sounds like ageism. Does it take much wisdom to decide what DC16 products to vote for or does it mostly take exposure? It's not like the topic is "What Is The Purpose Of Existence?". It's only about like... people talk about and express why they love Cubase and Logic and Bitwig etc. But all that does is expose people to their existence and brand but people don't just go and buy those products without first demoing them?
So why can't people talk about what DC16 products they will/did vote for? Hopefully all that will do is make other people more aware of the DC16 products and maybe demo them and then decide if the product is worth voting for. You don't trust people's ability to make decisions? You think people are easily swayed? Let's see anyone sway a heavy metal music fan into liking Celine Dion's music.
Okay, be back later with my video. That's enough distractions for now. Ciao, you Lord Of The Mattresses you. Hahaha. Kidding.

Thank goodness I didn't say you come across like a mattress-salesman...
just so you know: you write too much with no positive effect for you. Write less, think more and become conscious of other people! If you're alone in your head, you're alone in the world! (...kinda. Sounds a little stark, I know. Just think about it! I know you want to connect!)

unfortunately, one of my favorite entries is also quite a CPU hog (gives the impression that the developer didn't really try to optimize it) ... so, dilemma in placing it at the top
