Just like the title above, can we transfer the drum map of cubase6 to Sonar Platinum??

I've been using Cubase6 for almost 5years but due to several technical problems, I'm thinking of changing my DAW to Sonar.

And I saw how my friend uses Sonar8 yesterday , overall it looks good BUT!! Sonar's drum map is a little bit hard to read for me, so it'll take me more time to work on drum process. So I prefer Cubase drum map's visuality.

So...I'm wondering is there any way of adjusting Cubase drum map's VISUAL INTERFACE into Sonar Platinum??

I may think it would be impossible but just in case I'm asking you guys on here.

Please feel free to let me know!

Thanks!

I don't think it's possible.

A lot has changed with Sonar since version 8. Make sure to check out the Sonar Plat demo to see what the current drum map workflow is like.

Alternatively, you could keep using Cubase for your drum mapping, then save the midi and import into Sonar.

How about upgrading Cubase instead of switching to a DAW that even in its current version feels like it's still stuck in 2006?

^wasn't much helpful reply :uhuhuh:

I don't get exactly what you mean by saying "the drum map of cubase6" but you can import any instrument and drum maps as *.ins file in sonar, if you are able to export it from cubase, if not, you can always make your own file or manually input instrument/drum names directly in sonar in preferences, the maps routine in sonar didn't change much from sonar 8 I believe, if at all

the sonar platinum is a great daw btw :tu:
