Cubase has docking windows now? :-o I had my doubts if that would ever happen.

I'll now go look outside to see if I see any farm animals flying Air Force jets. :hihi:

P.S. I like the Mixer History thing. I made that exact FR for my current daw some time ago, a separate undo history from the Edit histoty, for the console.

Scrap that sorted!

10.11 minimum.. They're brave heh

Kinda absurd they choose El Capitan as baseline, 10.11 deserve a special place in hell for audio plugin UI issues
Crazy !!!
Cubase 9 is running flawless on my 10.9.5. Just to let you know.

Totally stoked with this upgrade. I have to give credit where credit is due, Steinberg really has been working on usability and workflow over the last few upgrades.

Also, I was wrong, I like the plugin sentinal. I have some cantankerous plugins and instead of locking up the scan it asks you to blacklist them, you can then go back and remove them from the blacklist to try rescanning again. This seems like it might be a useful tool in getting my plugin conflicts finally sorted out. We'll see.

No problems so far, all is working perfectly. I love this docking feature, the sampler... the other small improvements in the GUI. The EQ is very great and has all useful options, steep cutting filters.. very nice.
jBridge is working without problems, same with all other plugins. Existing projects are loading and working without problems. This new plugin loading/blacklisting feature is a nice improvement.
Well done Steinberg :tu:

Let's see if these improvements are included in the Artist version :)

For those who (like me) are thinking of upgrading the Artist version and don't want to upgrade to the Pro, this is the comparison table:
https://www.steinberg.net/en/products/c ... rison.html

It looks OK to me. The main things I want are there (Windows docking, Sampler track and Mixer Undo history), so the upgrade does worth it for me :)

thx for the info :tu:
Yes OSX 10.10.5 and cubase 8.5 are very stable and my last experience with upgrading to the newer
version was with presonus S1V3 , it was HELL !
( it seems sierra is lighter(ram) than yosemite ! )

It seems the only news stuff are : MixConsole History / Sampler Track / Frequency EQ /

Worked (almost) fine for me as well - it automatically blocked one 32bit VSTi, which I am fine with. But I was surprised the sentinel didn't like iZotope Trash 2 (current version), and even refuses to reactivate ...

Little tip for Windows users if you didnt forget...enable run with adminster priveleges. Useful if using jbridge :)

I've been having a lot of problems with iZotope plugins. That's not a gripe, I really like them, but they've been having some scanning issues. This upgrade is going to involve a clean sweep of my plugins to see if I can minimize clashes.

Anyone else having issues with the Elicenser Service Center "Maintenance Update"?

Errors after errors - for half a day now. Not that I need to(!) update - just checking.

Also... I'd love to know where the problem reside to produce a day-1 demo version. Anyone wants to do some bets with me with it will actually hit? 3 months? 4 months? A 1-2 week delay would be a huge improvement over what happened in recent years. The competition doesn't sleep!

Don't know yet what to think of the new features. The Plugin Sentinel especially... feels like a Sandbox Checker as with Mac OSX... Anyone having rejected "indie plugins" yet? Especially now that this thing is x64 only, and jBridge might see a boost in sales again...

Yep.Update to new elicenser. And keep trying, took me about 5 attempts and finally got it running. Kept getting network issues.

Indeed. Cubase blacklisted Play (???), but it was just a click, saying "Yes, I'm sure" to the warning, and that's it. A BIG time saver.

Too bad they removed the internal 32-bit bridge :(
