I feel for the people who cant use this beast to its full potential, but there are just as many post from people who are running pretty much crash free and without fan problems (I am one, PC, i7 Studio One, GTX980- I am not used to giving my graphics card in my spec!)

Can the show stopping crash type bugs be isolated to a certain spec or O/S (it seemed to be predominantly laptop graphics cards and Macs? Trouble with Reaper as well and on system?)
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Not having these issues here either, is it computers with retina displays are the most problematic? Hence Mac and laptop being a likely pairing.

I've been working 2 full days with Avenger now and I have experienced only one crash while loading one of the pads of the factory library on the 6th instance of the plugin in the same project.
After the last "fan" update I noticed an improvement in the CPU/GPU usage on my WIN system albeit it introduced a weird glitch when I use the "goto" function leaving a series of red lines all across the screen until I click some other parameter.
I also tested the OSX version and I feel there's still much room for performance improvement, let's put it like that..

Overall my experience has been positive, even though I don't have the feeling that the instrument is rock solid to the point I would bring it on stage yet. I'm really looking forward to performance and feature improvements as this could likely become my future reference softsynth.

Keep up the good work

believe it or not, for the vast majority of the buyers it works flawlessy. We get just very few support emails (I guess, around 5% have the high GPU / fan noise problem). Its the same old story: mostly people who have problems write in forums, not the people who do not have problems.
However we are doing the last tests now, I think tomorrow maybe we can upload the new update which fixes it :)
then hopefully we can start working on implementing more cool features, which I am looking forward to

Please allow midi chanels per osc and drums to be changed. Doing keysplit is great for performance but production i could go so much more crazy if it could split intl midichanels instead

Well, please not instead, but both possibilities :tu:

Well wishes to you all, Manuel. Can't have been exactly the launch you were hoping for, but feel genuinely hopeful happier times are ahead.

I have the utmost confidence in you guys - despite some initial issues, I have no doubt you'll resolve these things. I'm already super-impressed with this synth. She's a beast! :tu:

I now have probs with the fan, too.
----------------
Not related i hope...
..but Nvidia did release 6-8 new drivers in the last weeks.
This never happened.. ever.
While a problem disappears for some, it appears to others with new drivers..
(problems for me: 1st windows mail went kaputt.. new driver a week later fixed it.)
Weird..
Atm google chrome likes to freeze.. new prob and i think it is GPU-driver related.
Yesterday i got a new driver.. again.

---
edit:
There were major overhaul(s) in the "Nvidia GeForce Experience" software.
And i just noticed that the "hidden" video was on - It always captures in the background.
Turned off now.. (with non-SSD drives that could cause major BS)

I actually suspect most people have the problem.. they just don't know they have it. It takes a bit of technical knowledge to understand the bug (unless it crashes the system or is too obvious, like it would be on an older computer).

On my studio computer I still have the problem but there's no fan kicking in nor any glitches because the CPU is so strong.. however, Windows Task manager registers an immediate 25% CPU usage when Avenger GUI is open and while I play the default patch with a single note. As soon as I close the GUI, CPU usage is down to 0% in the task manager, even if I play 10 notes (it sometimes flickers to 1% usage).

So yeah, I suspect the issue is there for everybody who has a basic setup that uses the Intel integrated graphics stuff but most people just don't know they have a problem nor do they have the skills to diagnose it.

Cheers for sticking with it and trying to solve it. :tu:

Son of a gun. You are absolutely right. With GUI open and not doing anything, CPU usage at 36%. When I closed the GUI, it dropped down the 5%. This could explain a lot of the problems I've been having with my system lately with things simply not responding as quickly as they should.

Yep, there is no question this is a problem.

Correct, same here, 28% when the GUI is shown.
1% When not.
Thx bmanic, this will help allot I guess?

Wish we could thank Manuel and team are at least give thumbs up with their support. I understand it's not easy to take all the critics and still work the bugs out for the best.
But it is a commercial product, don't get to emotional about it and make this thing even great and useable.
Again, can't wait to start tweaking, I've been on Synth1 up to now and that's way to long of punishement, because there is no decent alternative  :D

And fan running from the first minute. ECO is on.
0% When not, no preset selected.

Other question: How can I make the SYS/MIDI setting permanent?
Every restart I have to load them.
I setup some basic controllers for volume, and Macro buttons.
