(Of course, why would anyone want to waste their time playing Pong in the iWavestation when they could be rocking out instead? It would still be a nice option... perhaps Korg will hook us up in a future update...

My biggest complaint is that it seems like Pong is only available on the iPad...

iWavestation on iPad finally makes sense. The UI is very good as others have posted.
I have one gripe. It may be an oversight on Korg's part but there appears to be no way to set the global midi channel. I ran a test this afternoon and it appears that it's 'stuck' in Omni mode. According to the manual Global midi channel should be an option in the settings menu. It's not there. Suppose we'll have to wait for the update for this fix.

Just make the music that you enjoy (failing that go for a walk, watch some porn, have a fight with a random bloke until something else happens).

Yea it´s the same chip as the iPad 2, i believe it was called the A5X, a huge leap from the A4. So far i´ve encountered no big disadvantages, apart from a few crashes while editing the sound...GUI is a little slower but not a problem. I had the feeling of voices dropping out from time to time but couldn´t replicate it...BiancaNeve wrote:IT even works ok on iPhone 4s !!!!

Really fun for me to see the Wavestation app! I worked on the original Wavestation back in the day when I was a Korg Product Specialist. I remember the day we got delivered the first production model and the joy we all had making Wave sequences. Soon after i went to see Cirque de Solei and the first note they played was a full wave sequence that I created for the factory patches!!!!
Still searching for the ultimate sound

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away I started playing synths (the Synthi AKS was my first) and I bought one of the earliest Ensoniqs that almost immediately broke but I sent it back to the factory with some of the patches I'd written. They said most of the synths sent back for repairs had no changes made to the original patches. Jack Hotop went to work at Korg and I guess that helped them begin the process of making synths that were more easily customized patch wise.Rudess wrote:Really fun for me to see the Wavestation app! I love the Wavestations for their evolving sounds, these kind of remind me of the "Transwaves"...Hmmm I wonder. LOL
