Well, it looks nice, but couple of things.

1. I assume this is a wrong subforum, in general this seems more like offtopic because it really doesn't have much to do with music

2. I would be worried about long-term stress your mouse concept could cause to hand. Mouses, even as they are right now, aren't exactly most friendly objects out there in extensive use. While I'm sure the concept is harmless if not used actively, but I'm not entirely sure what would happen if one would use it actively.

3. I'm going to cast my doubts on how much funding you will get through that page. To put it bluntly; there is not that much that differentiates your campaign from a "fund my life" campaign.

4. What target audience can you even see for the mouse? The concept in its usefulness seems to be rather limited for anything else than browsing webpages or something like that. Problem with this particular thing is, that most people who just browse webpages can manage fine without it whereas your concept would pump up the price of the mouse. I suppose you could get the price relatively low if you're manufacturing huge batches... but then you have to sell all of them.

So yeah, I wish you good luck, but I see a bumpy road ahead if you want to make that mouse a thing

"Flexible goal" means that even if the campaign fails the backer's money will still be deducted.

Personally, I think that's not a good look and can seriously piss-off some people that didn't pay enough attention.

Well if you put your money on something in the internet, you should pay attention what it is

Fixed goal makes sense only if you know the cost of the project. If you don't then it does not make sense.

It is not a scam, it is clearly stated in the description. You have to think it as a support for a cause, not as you would be buying a product.

wrist rotation is not symmetrical for human hands which makes your solution a bit clumsy when trying to rotate anticlockwise (for righthanders). Better is a gestural system which is probably available now - use left right acceleration. Pretty sure this has all been done before when people were investigating the mouse in virtual spaces

just saying that people will look at that and will not pledge anything, because it is too risky

Also the fact that R&D departments have spent the last decades investigating computer interaction and here is some dude who admits he's spent months on the concept which amounts to a crappy drawing he admits was scribbled in MSPaint and an Indiegogo web page and expects people to show appreciation for all the work he's done and some idea he had...

We have countless of examples of R&D departments not realizing the value of their research. For example the GUI that was invented in Xerox, but they did not realize its potential. Until Apple commercialized it with the original Macintosh. If you are disturbed by the quality of a drawing instead of concentrating into what it represents then I really don't know what value you can add to this discussion.

If I may ask (I didn't read the entire page so sorry if it's there) what is the money for exactly, building a prototype mouse + drivers or similar? Is it already designed, engineered on paper, and just needs to have a prototype built?

Anyway, the world seems to be moving to tablets and touchscreens, mice may be on the way out, but that may take some years.

I had to see what all the fuss was about. This campaign is ludicrous. The funding goal was drawn from a hat? It won't go towards building a prototype? What exactly DO you intend to do with the money???

And that fake video with the mouse clacking on the table? That would drive me crazy!
