Totally agree, Brent. I have two 27inch screens but, depending on what I'm working on, and what stage of the project I'm on, it can be really handy to have all that stuff available on the main screen. Love having the extra flexibility.

Exactly and I think that this is super important. I don't like the tiny mixer down bottom for proper mixing, but, it's perfect for when I'm building out the track. Similarly for editing. Sometimes you want that full screen, but most of the time the lower pane editor is just enough.

The flexibility is what makes the difference.[/quote]

FXpansion is not supporting DCAM Synth Squad any longer, it is now a legacy product. There is a new version of Strobe (2), but that is another $79.

If you are on mac there is a solution but you may not like the answer :-)
Sierra fixes most 64bit plugin issues.
And you are right, I don't think FXpansion will spend more time on SS.

Happy to report that when I upgraded to macOS Sierra, and applied the latest update, everything is working just fine. Synth Squad and Arturia Spark were removed from the blacklist with a rescan of the plugins.

Do you remove it from the blacklist before , or it was the 1 install after you upgrade to sierra ? (i ask because , I have Synth squad too and it was not working under 10.10.5 + cubase 9)

After I installed the new OS, I started Cubase, opened the pluging manager, then re-scanned. At that time, only Cypher moved from the blacklist. I then applied the Sierra update, and went through the same process, and all 64 bit plugins that were still blacklisted were now moved out and operating perfectly.

Great to know, I'm in the same situation with DCAM Synth Squad. I will update as soon a certain vendor will update its plugins for Sierra (or when I'll be tired of waiting, whichever comes first).

Does anyone here happen to know if there's an easy way to export (or render inside project) audio so that instead of complete signal path you could get possible sends separate?

Post

I think Render settings allows that.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Some have claimed it, when I measured a test project it was identical. That said, I have a hunch (only a hunch) it's a little more stable and less prone to spikes, which could be to do with the VST Sentinel.
What is VST Sentinel? I googled it, but only got a few Russian links...

If I may ask....What is Sierra fixing /performance issues, plugins not being recognized etc.?

Have been holding out on EC mainly because my old Virtual a Guitarist still works and thought Sierra may kill it. Or does Sierra reverse the changes that El Cap had made that had broken things? Thanks.

So, there is no way to demo this or any cubase product right now?

Nope, I don't mean that, at least not the dry settings. That tool does not render different sends outputs as their own. If it renders the different sends ("complete signal path"), it will all be rendered on one soundclip, with all the possible sends AND the original clip.

There will be demo when they introduce maintenance update so you'll get demo without less bugs.
Yes customers who bought already are post-beta testers :)
