Anyway, I remember that I sometimes ran out of envelopes when using both layers, which however is where the fun begins. Often it means using mod env 1 for filter a and mod env 2 for filter b, so there is none left for other things such as pitch. Hence a little suggestion: including one env in each layer like on my little MS Paint guiIt would be pre-routed to the filter, as indicated, but could also be used for other things via the matrix. This way there would be a third envelope without making the GUI any bigger.
With legacy patches, old mod env 1 settings would simply be interpreted as mod env a settings, and old mod env 2 settings as mod env settings respectively. Many patches use only layer a anyway, so legacy patches would even look the same.
Just a suggestion...

Even during the sale the price difference is huge, about 130 euros for Europeans vs. 105 euros for Americans. I find that regrettable, some other developers have found ways to bring about the same price for the buyer on both sides of the Atlantic. It's absurd, when a poor Portuguese or Greek customer has to pay more than an American, who on average earns much more.

Arghhhh such a tease.
Oh well something to look forward to. I assume it will be resizable as other Sylenth 1 skins are. Can't wait to see that baby stretched out on my screen.......

The dark skin is unusual in that it has analog VU meters instead of LED meters
Other than that I wonder about the purpose of new skins, I mean, the current skin looks very good already, would be better to improve the synth as such in my view...

Are you two married ? I notice you seem to be joined at the hip.
Anyway Fluffy, not interested in new skins ? Don't use them.
I like a fresh look and that Apox skin looks damn professional. As someone who actually owns Sylenth 1 I'll be using it with great pleasure when it's released. It's included in an update so no telling what else is included in that update. No matter what it is I know someone who won't miss the opportunity to bitch about it......

Please don't start again... I own Sylenth as well, but I'm still open for critique and opinions of others who at least spend a certain amount of time using at least a demo version of it.Teksonik wrote:I know someone who won't miss the opportunity to bitch about it......

Oh and for those who are wringing their hands about new skins. These were developed by someone else so there was little distraction from Lennard's work on the engine.
I had never heard of Mikael Eidenberg but he is obviously a very talented Artist. Be grateful he has graced Sylenth 1 with his talents.

Hehe, yes, he and I often agree, but I don't share his enthusiasm for Spire, for instance
Yes, the two skins definitely look very good. But so does the default skin. So I am simply wondering why someone makes new skins, especially free ones. It's not that S1 was challenged GUI-wise, it already has one of the best stock GUI's out there.

For such a graphics expert, his homepage is surprisingly bad, the contrast of the gray text on black background is pretty poor.Teksonik wrote:Oh and for those who are wringing their hands about new skins.
