Some of those virtual hardware devices look so good they should actually be built
Tone2 use such rendered hardware images as well on their site.

For whatever reason I like the new white skin. It offers a good contrast to so many dark ones. As a preset tweaker (vs. creator) one of the things I get out of different skins is that things show up differently. Sometimes I will tweak something wholly different just because I see it in a different light. And then I get lost forever in the new sound, ha ha. Sadly the folks I do commercial work for will likely never appreciate the REAL time that goes into productions and tracks. But that goes with any job anywhere.
I love it when a breath of fresh skin, uh for my VSTs, comes along.

Not sure if there is a direct link in that tweet, but here are the links to the bigger images:

I like the way he turned the display into a hardware panel on the dark skin

Why does anyone make music or paint or sculpt or dance or.....fluffy_little_something wrote: So I am simply wondering why someone makes new skins, especially free ones.
I have no problem with the current GUI although I would change the poop brown and mint green in a heartbeat if it was possible.
Just can't resist bitching about something can you.......fluffy_little_something wrote: For such a graphics expert, his homepage is surprisingly bad, the contrast of the gray text on black background is pretty poor.

I like it too but not as much as the dark one. If it is possible I would change the yellow parts to blue on the light skin but some skins are "locked" and can't be edited. I respect that as the artist doesn't want his work bastardized.
I do too and as I said above the new skins will inspire me to spend time with Sylenth again. I've been focused on other synths lately and Sylenth hasn't gotten the attention it deserves. A fresh skin brings fresh inspiration to me so I appreciate them a great deal.thejonsolo wrote:I love it when a breath of fresh skin, uh for my VSTs, comes along.

Really? You would spend more time with a synth just because it gets a new skin?Teksonik wrote:A fresh GUI will cause me to spend more time with Sylenth and that can only be a good thing.![]()
Just can't resist bitching about something can you.......Who cares about his website, all I care about is the new Sylenth skins....and I wouldn't mind seeing him do GUIs for other plugins as well....
With me that would only be the case if the old skin sucks and I had to force myself to use that synth.
Sorry, I am a perfectionist, I want things to be as good as possible. It has nothing to do with bitching. I merely mentioned the issue. Nor was it me that posted that link to his site

Certainly. Humans are visual creatures. A new skin would inspire me to use a synth that I haven't been paying much attention to lately. The GUI is not why I haven't been spending time with Sylenth but I've owned it for awhile and I've been spending time with synths that I haven't owned for long such as Predator 2.fluffy_little_something wrote:Really? Then you'll be welcoming the new skins as much as anyone because they appear to "be as good as possible".fluffy_little_something wrote:Sorry, I am a perfectionist, I want things to be as good as possible.
Yes it does, you seem to find pleasure in finding fault with everything no matter how tiny or insignificant like the contrast on the guy's website. Who cares ?fluffy_little_something wrote:It has nothing to do with bitching

Hehe, that designer should take care of that synth firstTeksonik wrote:Certainly. Humans are visual creatures. Yes, I might use the dark skin as well, I prefer the effect panel to the display. I think the filter db indicator is too bright, though, I can't read it.
Are the two layers no longer color-coded on those two skins?
Not pleasure, it is automatic, maybe because of my profession, where basically I have to be perfect and review/correct other people's work as well. My mind is always looking for errors and things to improve.
