Can't wait to test it, Xenakios! I'm a big fan of Hourglass, and check your blog often.

Any news or alpha-release plans concerning the λ project?
Still the idea to share a public version until the end of the year?

So promising!

Hopefully this year...Still about 3 weeks left...

edit : There are still some fairly large things to figure out, such as how to handle processing nodes that can be processed in real time (VST/AU plugins, the HourGlass node etc). Because it can be done and is partially implemented already anyway, I'd like that to work sensibly on public release.

Another thing that seems to require some tedious hacking is getting some multichannel/surround capable VST2 plugins working right...(This maybe isn't so important for the public beta release, but it makes me personally nuts if that won't work.)

I really like how you are thinking about this project. It is beyond what I imagined was possible with CDP. It may open up this classic to a whole new user group!

Dont forget Renoise also allows easy access to CDP

Thanks once again for your continued efforts Xenakios. They're much appreciated.

Thanks for the info!

Yes, definately.. its not as featured as what Xen is putting together but still pretty damn good..

Last update added an envelope editor

Doesn't matter if you don't use Renoise as your DAW, the free version of Renoise works perfectly as a sample editor and you can save the samples you make with CDP for use elsewhere.. I use it with Bitwig in this way... Well worth trying out if you want to get a flavour of what CDP can do.

Unfortunately based on the comments in the Renoise front end Lua-code, there is no support at all for audio that has more than 2 channels in Renoise. (It might even crash when trying to use multichannel audio files..?) I suppose that's understandable, Renoise being a tracker and all, but still a caveat to consider. Otherwise, definitely do check out the Renoise front end now to see how it works.

My app is still not release-ready, been doing some fundamental rewriting of the code which will need quite a lot of time...Also the scope of the app has "slightly" increased, I've worked on a multilane audio editor too...

I'll try to post a Youtube video too later today to show how it works with its workflow limitations at the moment.

The first public Youtube video! As you can see, some visual problems with waveforms not updating in the multilane editor etc... :? (In that build it's all working with offline processing, so I am not doing any realtime parameter tweaks etc. The built-in stuff and 3rd party VST/AU will eventually get that capability.)

Not showing much of the CDP stuff either, apart from the reversing node...I'll post another video later which will show more of the CDP processing stuff.
