Hopefully whatever they are giving away isn't something I already have. They can just ship me a DrumBrute for Xmas

What I would like to see is a completely original VST that isn't specifically emulating a vintage piece of hardware. Or maybe taking the Origin concept and making a VST similar to Reaktor Blocks.

It will obviously be 1 of 2 things.

1. An old product that doesnt sell (ie its crap)

2. A 'lite' version of something thats so crippled its next to useless

I am also guessing that it will be a cut down "original" version of one of their synths, much like the minimoog original. Or maybe even a reissue of the minimoog with the new skin, which is actually I think the nicest and most usable of the new skins. But who knows, maybe a SEM original. Something that the original is cut down enough from the full feature set to not make the full version less attractive. And actually a cut down original is more tempting to use now because they finally exposed all their parameters to automation, which they didn't used to do (things like switches, waveforms selctors etc were not visible to the DAW), so now you can actually have all the original functionality of these hardware synths on an automappable controller like Novation or Nektar or using any DAW scripting for instant mapping like Ableton or Bitwig. Plus all the Arturia synths sound almost the same with slight filter variances, so having one can be satisfying enough to get that sound. I like the Mini and Arp best for the arturia sound I think. Or the Spark synth modules.
