Hello,

The happy owners of a Behringer BCF2000 and/or BCR2000 midi controllers are invited to share their experiences and presets here :

http://bebop.audioshot.net/bcr-bcf.html

Help yourself and mail yours at papertinsel@yahoo.com

Wow...

Bebop, what a great idea!

I've been straddling the fence in getting a BCF200.

If this page takes off, I might take the plunge.

Thanks for a great idea!

Trying to make my wait for the BCR-delivery a bit shorter by working on this:

plan is, to have my 'from scratch' FL-starting-template equipped with that dashboard, so that I can assign controls inside FL faster.

Still needs work though

...might still be about three days till I get mine...
...argh...

  Hey I want one of these!!! Dunno how it sounds like, can't identify, is it a vst or a vsti?

But I hope you'll get it to work the way you want quickly and think of the other people after that

Let's give it time though, for now it seems very quiet.

Future will tell if the page takes off, it's not done, it's up to you after all :P

got aware of that BCR is even better than I thought...
So now the correct version with all four first lines:

Oh and bebop - thats just the FL studio Dashboard, in which I rebuilt the BCR. As I said, I would have that dashboard open on every new project, already being wired to my BCR. Assigning controls in FL is the easiest thing on earth then...

Post

errr... you mean it's not a vst or vsti? Well, you're right, it looks like the bcr! So does it mean there is a software version of the bcr? I found nothing on behringer's site though... lol

no but that's fascinating this FL dashboard and the way you represent your forthcoming hardware in it

Post

Yes, and I built it...

mmmyy prescioussss... harr

Presets added for NI Traktor (BCF) by Zacarov and Cubase SX (BCR) by Anthony O.

That's niiice to see the solidarity at work! :)

More Cubase SX and Logic Audio things should be coming soon.

skOre, have you seen the postman yet? Is it working great? What about publishing your dashboard and experiments?

Help yourself and thx to all

Hell yeah (though the BCA will be delivered on the first of september, seperately :x )

I started out on the wiring of the dashboard and am near to complete it (though I will have to test if it would work on other peoples FL as well...).
I also plan to do a graphically different version that eases life performance with clearer controls.
(Also I deleted all the previous graphical work on the dashboard by accident  sheesh...)

:D News presets again for Cubase SX, Logic Audio and Live3, a new site design too (thx to Daniel), same address http://bebop.audioshot.net/bcr-bcf.html

Sorry to hear about your deception skOre, be patient, take your time and when you're ready, post your results

New stuff for Cubase SX, new Soft Synths section added to the page.

Next challenge could be : who's the first to fill the 32 preset slots with usefull controls everywhere?

Joking but, why not after all?

Keep up the good work, help yourself and have fun

skOre, you fell asleep for good or what?

Some synth sysex added, some older presets corrected on the page.

It seem there are some hidden functions (non documented) on the B-Control series, like the one allowing to decide how the leds are reacting on the top row encoders (standard one led only, or the whole side lit together for pan, or both side spreading up or down f.e., etc.), it's in edit mode for each of these encoders -> encoder #7. :D

It seems also that some people are trying to get the BCR2000 leds to be updated from the sequencer (with some feedback feature), but to me it seems just impossible, so if someone has got a clue for that, let's speak up! :P

Would someone make a preset for Cakewalk Sonar and the BCR2000, for Fruityloops and the BCR2000 (skOre normally does but?), for whatever other sequencer you can think of, that would be great and would complete the series, still available, at http://bebop.audioshot.net/bcr-bcf.html

Waiting endlessly for behringer to release their B-Control Edit utility and an updated manual....

[EDIT] I just read the beta version of the B-Control utility is on its way (1 week), good news! Let's hope it'll be a public beta...

it's actually quite easy, the proces is the same for the BCF2000 as the BCR2000.

here is how to do it:
- create a project in cubase
- create 8 channels in your mixer (i use subgroups, but every channel is fine).
- go to generic remote (devices menu)
- create a template
- add a control in the top window with the following propperties
name: top1
midi status: controller
midi channel: 1
Address: 111
MAx value: 126
Flags R,T

- add another control in the top window:
name: top2
midi status: controller
midi channel: 1
Address: 112
MAx value: 126
Flags R,T

repeat this process for channel 3-8

after setting up the top encoders go to the lower window
add a control with the following properties:
name: top1
device: mixer
channel/category: <choose the channel 1 from this list>
Value/action: Meter
Flags: none

repeat this process for encoders 2-8

Now setup the bcr as following:
- press edit and turn the upper first encoder (type)
- use the following settings:
type: CC
CH: 1
Par: 111
Val 1: 0
Val 2: 127
mode: Abs
Encoder 7: Bar

press store (2 times)
Done!
repeat the proces for the other 7 encoders

Now send some sounds through channel 1 - 8 in cubase and watch your leds behave as Volume meters on your bcr!

IMPRESSIVE and eyecandy

hope this helps a little bit in understanding the BCR and BCF.

Yeah yeah, don't kick me that hard ;)

Will finish it tomorrow, and give it an upload...

Somehow I got problems building the knobs... gotta run for today...

While we at it, my BCF2000 USB device neither gets recognized by my laptop (Dell Inspiron 8200) nor my desktop (some NForce2 based Athlon XP). I try to install the drivers with the tool but no luck.

And how the hell can one update the bios revision? There's no info to be found anywhere...
