Thanks for the heads up. I've notified the Police.

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Disappointment second.
Most people get their expectations too high, whether it's something for sale,
or something for free.
Whatever it turns out to be though, I like Arturia's stuff.

You are talking like Dec 22nd was in the past, and not in the future ?felis wrote:They should have just made something available on the 22nd, with a 'come get it' posting.
To compare: If Sonokinetic had announced their big giveaway a little in advance, a lot of users would not have felt letdown not knowing about it

The Countdown Clock is a brilliant move in terms of marketing as it generates buzz and good will towards the company in anticipation but it could backfire if the freebie is considered lame. "We waited five days for this" ? "Boo Arturia".......
If you're expecting an Xbox for Christmas and instead get a box full of socks you'll be disappointed. Grateful for the act of generosity but disappointed none the less.
Time will tell what it is but it's fun anticipating and hoping that box under the tree contains something cool and not socks.
But even if it's something lame I'll still say thanks for the socks Grandma err I mean Arturia they are just what I needed......

I would be happy if they would make my Arturia controller work again with Analog Lab 2 or 1.
Since I installed AL 2, the automatic assigments of the knobs and faders on my controller don't work anymore. Nothing - all broke.
They also don't work anymore with AL 1, or the single instruments.
My guess: they will give away Analog Factory, the 32-bit only predeccessor to Analog Lab 1

You know what though, this has been a pretty badass season for free stuff. I'm usually looking forward to the NI giveaway as being the "thing" for the year. But, nope, this year I think that Sonokinetic gets top spot with a bunch of really cool giveaways by other folks.
Waves is down there at the bottom, as usual, with their funny little giveaway. Thanks Waves, that's just what I needed.
Well, I can't talk too much shit about Waves, cause I won a pretty cool gift in their advent calendar, woot, thanks Waves, I will definitely make use of that!

What was the Sonokinetic freebie ? I either missed it or saw it and decided to pass. I think the highlight here has been the Eventide Reverb. I think it's the only thing that has made it on to my studio computer so far. Cobalt is an awesome freebie but I already had it so doesn't really count here. I'm sure I've forgotten something......
No matter if it's something I find useful or not I'm grateful for the generosity.
It will be interesting to see what the Arturia offering is.....

I already had the Eventide/Focusrite giveaway from a few months ago. The Sonokinetic giveaway was a limited number (5000) of their Ostinato Strings library.Teksonik wrote:What was the Sonokinetic freebie ? I either missed it or saw it and decided to pass. Of course there's been the plugimons and the AIR Xpand2, which I also already had. More than a couple of small sample libraries. The DC16 stuff is also pretty awesome. Oh, I almost forgot, SoundToys Tremolator is pretty high up the list, might be tied for first place with Ostinato Strings. Not to mention that within the last couple of months Soundtoys gave away SieQ which is also awesome.
Arturia has a lot of stiff competition if they want to see me pee my pants in genuine excitement.

My god, do you think that Arturia is giving us each a pony?
