but do you know what latency compensation is? It's about delaying all mixer tracks.. except the one with the offending plugin. So I don't see how this would be doable/useful.How about giving us pdc on that one simple master output channel.. ok?
Does FLStudio have PDC?

But what about a PDC mode where the bus sends and routing are limited?gol wrote:but do you know what latency compensation is? Duh,
When you were a little kid you probably went to a school with only retarded people and was the only smart one around, right?
Anyways, I'm talking about simple compensation for a plugins delay that is inserted on the MASTER channel. AFAIK fl studio is the ONLY software in history NOT to have this.
I don't really care about FULL pdc, but I do care about having pdc (plugin delay compensation) on that final master output channel. It is highly annoying to use FL studio as a loop tool for building custom sample loops or anything else because of the empty space in front of the first transient caused by using a basic look ahead limiter or similar. This makes for much more extra work and headaches when using the loops in other software. There should be no reason what so ever to this when rendering the loop! It's the friggin master channel!
H U O H! (translated: *deep sigh*)

Gol.. I think you should put delay compensation for the Sonitus reverb on the 8th mixer channel, because 8 is my lucky number and I like the Sonitus reverb
and can you please remove all Fruity tools I don't use from the next release.. they are taking up space on my hard drive and I don't use them
oh and.. a cup holder.. fruity is the only studio I know that doesn't have cup holders.. cubase has them

No, its been discussed, and the Unit Delay will have to do until now. I dont think enough users use those kinda plugs to warrant that at the moment, as far as rich is concerned amyway. But you never know.VitaminD wrote:Orion (as beautiful as it is) still doesnt have this feature.
hopefully for v6?

what are those other softwares in history exactly?

have you tried not using it for building custom sample loops? that usually does the trick

frankly, I am happy with FL as is, and would hate to see another layer of complexity added because one user wants delay compensation. Besides that, if FL is the *only* software in history to not have it, use it as a Vst/Dxi/rewire device into a app that does support it and add your effect there...

only if you put it on the master though

I am really interested in a simple tool with which you can manually start something earlier than it gets notes. For example I once got a grab on athmosphere (a too short tryout session that was), but I would have loved to have a simple plug that tells it to play athmo a few beats ahead, as it tends to have a very slow attack on some presets... (you could surely workaround this, but that would be really annoying...) (or is there another way??)

Just that problems would come up whenever you want to listen to a selected section of a song (what I tend to use more than the 'live mode'.
I know that in a song, this would be possible, but it makes the workflow a lot slower, when you always have to have some specific delays in mind. Or would such a plugin be a big problem?

Not all of these could use VST plugins but all that did/do, definately compensate for the latency, of the plugins inserted in the master channel.
Gol, I do seriously not know of any other software with vst plugin support that does not compensate for the latency of plugins inserted in the master output channel. I find it amazing that you don't see this is as a weakness in FL studio. I guess it would even be a rather simple thing to fix (unless FL studio handles audio in a weird way at the render output).
I guess this 'feature' already is on the 'to do' list and as you don't take any feature suggestions from users I better just shut up for now, but then again, I do find it's been 'bugging' me for a while, so..
