Thanks!
I noticed some off your samples loop at a sustainpart of sample. How to import your own and have loop in then? Possible? I know how to import a sample, but not how to make it loop in avenger like some factory samples
You have to loop it before importing the sample, there is no loop function in Avenger.
What can i use to loop it before? Im on studio one! Have fl studio as well and also bitwig
You need an audio editor that is able to embed loop points into the sample, e.g. Wavelab.

Ah thanks will see if edison in fl can do that, its as well an audio editor thanks!

I do looping in Wavelab

msvs wrote:yes, in Cubase, any latency should be compensated automatically when playing back or bouncing to wav (not during live play of course)
Point being when the internal limiter or compresser in Avenger are activated it isn't being compensated as it should be in Cubase.

See sig for setup.

I am using Wavelab Elements since several yeras which is much cheaper than the full Wavelab and does the job for me too.

And now that we're on that subject (sample import and editing) again...

Manuel, I think you said some time ago that Vengeance is thinking about this (if I'm not mistaken). Is that still the status?

Post

yes, we will allow it in one of the next updates (drag&drop sampling for oneshots)

The video shows how to make a loop without clicks and how to get a 1 or 2 bar sample.

What was meant.. i think is: Avenger-samples - Loop only a section of the sample.
..Prepare the loop-points in Wavelab and Avenger will see them.

(Wavelab Manual)
Basic Looping
Looping a sound allows you to repeat a section of the sample indefinitely in order to create a sustain of unlimited length. Instrumental sounds in samplers rely on looping organ sounds, for example.
In WaveLab Elements, loops are defined by loop markers. Loop markers are added, moved, and edited just as any other type of marker.
To ensure that you find a good loop point, note the following:
•A long loop usually sounds the most natural. However, if the sound does not have a stable section in the middle (an even sustain part), it might be hard to find a good long loop.
For example, a piano note which decays continuously is hard to loop because the start point of the loop is louder than the end point. A flute is much simpler, because the sound in the sustain section is very stable.
•A loop should start shortly after the attack, that is, when the sound has stabilized to a sustaining note.
•If you set up a long loop, it should end as late as possible but before the sound starts decaying to silence.
•Short loops are difficult to position within the sound. Try to position them near the end.

Glad to see you guys are working hard to improve!!!
Please get that CPU down also
I really want to start using the synth live, but have to be sure the cpu hit does not crash my PC because the whole show is running from my pc. :)

You think audacity loop points are not accepted?
Or maybe waveosaur?
Checked it, yeps: http://www.wavosaur.com/tutorials/how-to-make-loop.php
Audacity, yep: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tuto ... oping.html

So no need of expensive software for that.

Good to know, thanks for your input. The synth looks fantastic. I've sort of fallen out of love with Serum and been looking for a new sound design monster. Can't wait to (most likely) pick it up sometime this month.

One more quick question...

I'd probably like to put this on my eLicenser dongle if in fact this is an option (not sure how this works with hard/soft eLicenser. I just got Cubase recently and it is my first and only eLicenser protected product). What is the policy if there is a lost or stolen dongle? That'll probably determine whether I put this on the dongle or just keep it on my eLCC.

I know some iLok vendors I've dealth with (soundtoys, UVI to name a couple) were surprisingly quick and hassle-free about resetting my activations. I've read that eLicenser is somewhat more restrictive, and I know Steinberg only grants one license and only replaces it once in a lifetime, per licensee, if a dongle is lost.

Thanks for your time.

Post

Avenger does not use a dongle so even if you want, you can't use your eLicenser USB to store Avenger's license (all the older VPS products are using it though). For Avenger you get a "key-file" file which you can use it on up to 3 computers.

As for the eLicenser: Steinberg is responsible only for Steinberg licenses. If they, let's say, accept for stolen Cubase keys a replacement at the cost of a new USB key, that's a deal only for Cubase. For instance reFX does not offer a replacement. If you lose your eLicenser key, the only way to get a new license from reFX is to purchase the basic version of Nexus2. Indeed Steinberg will help in recovering data from a damaged (broken) key but that's about it. My advice is before purchasing eLicenser-protected software, read the FAQ or ask the manufacturer - the policies differ from one to another.
