Didn't say it was a reason, just an explanation. From reading the OP though I'm not really sure it is entirely a personal note anyway, more a placeholder for more info to come.murnau wrote:But that is still no reason to post personal notes in this subforum.aMUSEd wrote:I guess because this is a hint that there will be some new plugin synth/s being promoted around NAMM time.Pädy wrote:Why is this in instruments?

Ask him what the maximum number of notes he's ever played in a single synth demo at a show.
If he answers 22,457 (the correct answer) then you know it's him.
After what happened with the "fake" Alphaville Member "Mao Moondog" a couple of months back, that is(!) a valid question.
I'm surprised that we don't see more celebrities around here. Maybe they are, but they're just incognito. Who knows, maybe this will change now?
Then again... after the "Rudess Meme's" during Omnisphere release times, I'm more surprised he's not been scared off. But then again, he even joked with John Petrucci about the "Psycho Exercises" tapes... so I'm sure he actually embraces the fun.
Either way - if it's really "Mr Rudess himself" - welcome aboard.
And thank you for all the great music in recent years.

Of course it should be in the instruments. It's a great opportunity to ask Mr Rudess which new synths he will endorse. Maybe for a start we should make list of synths already endorsed by Mr Rudess.
I'm very happy to see the wizard here. Dream Theater's Astonishing is definitely one of the best albums released this year. And of course the Levin/Minnemann/Rudess album was absolutely fantastic as well. So big thumbs up
Also been enjoying your videos on harmony again lately.

I would say the Off Topic subforum is great for that.Mutant wrote:Is there even a "Hi, i am new here." subforum on KVR ???
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

It should be in Off Topic.
And if anyone really needs to hear even more marketing blurb by him then go visit his website. Jesus.

After the curious case of MaoMoonDog I don't trust anybody to be who they say they are, in the forum

Proof would be easy. Just upload a Youtube video with some asked for content (if there's time ofc).
Should be, really, especially when you're using the official FB, Twitter, and website data in your profile. Maybe the KVR website owners even might want to get in contact with Jordan Rudess, to see if it is really him.

Was that guy really a fake? He seemed pretty convincing if I remember correctly. I mean, why would someone stalk and imitate someone else that is not even well known or otherwise important?Numanoid wrote:After the curious case of MaoMoonDog I don't trust anybody to be who they say they are, in the forum
