Firstly, apologies for bugs and crashes, I know that sucks, especially if you've bought it! But since I'm doing all the coding sometimes something slips through the cracks. In this case big things unfortunately...
I'm currently hard at work for a version 1.1.
The bugs that I've fixed this weekend so far are:
- Crash when running two instances.
- Logic validation fail
I'm currently working on the FL studio GUI weirdness, and the authentication issues.
Other things I'll add for 1.1:
- Make the demo noise a bit less brutal.
- This:- any other quick fix that you guys can think of!Only gripe is that it doesn't remember the sample folder each time you want to load a new sample. Had to create a shortcut from "my documents".
Effect version will be next month. God damn AAX is the only thing stopping this atm.
Sorry again for the bugginess.
Rob
Thank's for the info here.
It was a rough start but so far i really felt in love with this plug-in!
The GUI is amazing too (for me).
Also the CPU usage is pretty fair for what it does!
Can't wait for the FX version (damn you AAX).

Btw, thanks for passing by.

I had another play with my own samples and just for fun with a full 152 seconds track loaded into the convolver on the fly............
It just make now click and i begin to realize what this incredible thing can do really.
The idea of the "flow" is awesome as well.
For me it´s even a revolutionary tool in terms of creating soundscapes, drones and stuff.
A great side effect is the hypnotic GUI which together with the sound puts me deep into other galaxies.
Best buy of the year so far for me.....even in it´s early (buggy) stage.
I just wonder how much usable the FX version will be for live playing trough it when it comes to latency?
However, this thing goes into new categories.....like Kaleidoscope but with a complete other direction of course.
I love it

is it no problem to have few instances and create a song this way?
is it also possible to create with one instance a longer drone?
in the tutorial video the presets were like short loops.

Hey guys.
So today I've fixed/added:
- FLStudio authentication
- Made the noise swoosh in the demo version much less jarring
- Double-click to edit value by typing
- Remember last opened sample folder
- Improved the MIDI note mapping. Now you can map parameters per-particle to the incoming MIDI note. It's not quite chromatic note input, but you can get something similar by mapping the pitch then locking it to a scale at least. Dust wasn't really designed for this tbh so I'm having to force it a bit. Hopefully this will make it easier though.
- The VST2/VST3 biz is a problem with the installer I think. It's not putting things in the right place. I'm on it.
Now I'm fixing the Cubase biz. I should have tested on more hosts I know...but if they all just followed some bloody plugin conventions I wouldn't have too.
I'll almost certainly finish this tomorrow so v1.1 should be online. I'll let you know on here.
Thanks,
Rob

This depends on the 'offset' you have set in the granular section. Basically real-time mode just uses the last 15 seconds (I think?) of audio as the buffer for the particle. You use the offset to define the latency essentially.I just wonder how much usable the FX version will be for live playing trough it when it comes to latency?

If there is, I can't find it anywhere on their website... I don't understand, they work on the noise swoosh ''Made the noise swoosh in the demo version much less jarring'' but there's no demo link?wagtunes wrote:

I didn´t go to far yet since i wait for the AU validation fixed and just use Bitwig 8-track to dig around a bit. I will try it soon.Caine123 wrote:this sounds great!Cinebient wrote:I had another play with my own samples and just for fun with a full 152 seconds track loaded into the convolver on the fly............![]()

in the tutorial video the presets were like short loops.
As i said you can load in whole tracks or samples which are a few minutes long (in the convolver as FX or as sample source as well).
I also love that the grains can be up to 3 seconds (and a lot more stuff of course).
You can modulate everything, including the position of the grains, size, envelope, volume...whatever....for each of the 8 emitters individually (including scale etc.).
So for sure you can do endless drones and morphing soundscapes with this.
Damn, you even can do a whole ambient track with one instance if you go wild.
Of course i´m sure this plug-in is not for everyone but i really freaking love it.
If i have time tomorrow i try to make a few sound examples....anything special you want to hear?
And i said it but i have to say it again....GUI of the year too. I could run this on a big screen as ambient background
But all this might be my personal flavour.

Yes TimeFlux and Wave Warper both VSTi’s. Yeaaaa!Numanoid wrote:..if not vst, at least AAXwickfut wrote:After that can you make Timeflux a vst
Better yet merge TimeFlux and Wave Warper into TimeWarper 2. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaa!!
Hey Melodyne merged the Melodyne Editor and Studio into a single Melodye 4.
In any case I would have already been a customer if either one was a VSTi!
