Im pretty sure Christopher Biggins was a member

Post

he joined 12 years ago, just started posting now, he was a major focal point on KvR back then and for quite a while which would suggest he had good cause to start an account then. So I'm not going to second guess him, he's a new old member, and I hope he sticks around this time, hello Rudess...welcome :)
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Simplest verification would be to tweet about KVR audio, since Jordan's Twitter account is verified. That said, it's a bit presumptuous to push for official verification, ultimately I'd say content quality matters more than identity.

So on that note, Jordan if you have a chance - you get to play with all the toys. I'm interested in the burgeoning market of polyphonic multi-dimensional MIDI controllers - obviously they all have different strengths/weaknesses, but I'm curious in particular about learning curves for a piano player.

The more radically different ones are grid-based (Linnstrument, Soundplane), and interesting but maybe better suited for a guitarist than pianist. The pianistic ones (Roli, K-Board) however will still feel pretty different from a regular, or even synthy, keyboard - so maybe going grid isn't such a big deal, and could even synergize with the mental switch to multiple dimensions (and keep the piano muscle memory for regular piano playing).

Anyway, IMO the above topic would be great for you to chat about a bit, I imagine I'm not the only person curious about it (though obviously some people will be approaching it as a guitarist instead of pianist, or perhaps as someone who isn't an instrumentalist of any particular sort but still interested in controllers).

Yes, this is why I'm skeptical as well... but I like to be positively surprised.

I'm almost certain of that.
The question is "why"? Because of KVR's sometimes more than vile nature? Understandable... it does work for GS however...

To clone another Keyboard Wizard? :hihi:

Hi Mr. Rudess, welcome back to KvR.

I read about the 'Images And Words' tour for next year, and I was wondering if you will be updating the synth sounds for that, or staying faithful to the originals ?

If I recall from some live footage, the original keyboardist only usually used one keyboard live, back in 1992 or whenever exactly that album/tour was from. So it seems ez enough to get those sounds - step 1) rob Kevin Moore's house, 2) locate the correct patches, 3) join Dream Theater, 4) profit. Oh, and in case of emergency, step 5) don't take too much crap from the KvR crowd. :hihi:

Was that guy really a fake? He seemed pretty convincing if I remember correctly. I mean, why would someone stalk and imitate someone else that is not even well known or otherwise important? 8)
Yep, the real Bernhard confirmed from his Facebook account that he was not on KVR (and didn't speak fluent English either). That was a bizarre one, for sure.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

No!!!
He's left us again because of you bad doubting people :x :x

Please return before 2028 Jordan.

(And erm, hello...)

Yup, the KVR "detectives" took it upon themselves after some time, to trace MaoMoonDogs signals, and they didn't orginate from Berlin/Germany, but somewhere in England...

Mr Rudess said he will post some videos soon.. so that would be proof enough then, I presume? Although I must admit, I really had no idea who he was before I curiously opened this topic. I'm using being from the UK as an excuse :)
