Is Nexus2 the way to go for easy ORCHESTRAL sounds, or are there better alternatives?

I kind of wonder which user's it is that buys Nexus2 Complete?

At about $4000 (reg price) it must be one of the most expensive packages out there.

I rarely need a full orchestra...but I have the original Albion which I love for string ensembles.
On a budget...IK Multimedia Miroslav Philharmonik 2 CE, and Halion Symphonic Orchestra certainly seem good options.

Otherwise, how about Sonivox Strings for $1

Then upgrade to premium collection for $68 for a shed load more.

I agree, that makes me wonder too. Is that package price reflecting a significant discount? For me the whole package deal "offer" is kind of silly! I suppose those with endless pockets would just grab the lot in order to save time? I'd love to know just how many of those package deals they've actually sold!

Another point about ReFX - I don't see any open forum to discuss issues and tips and such, and that seems like it could be an issue! No dev forum here on KVR either! So buyers are forced to use ReFX's FaceBook page to communicate with the company and other buyers? At first this seemed trivial, but now I think this is a bigger deal when the inevitable issues emerge. And from seeing the (very few) comments on their FB page, ReFX seems to act like a much more aloof company than you might expect from a smaller team. Maybe Urs and U-He have spoiled my view of this type of helpful dev interaction!?

People that needs to know what's out there, and that needs to recognize presets etc. E.g. people that sign artists within the "Nexus genre".

Producers that make money out of that. Produce for other people, ghost producers that produce for eletronic dance music artists. You can make good money from that.

The symphony series and symphony essentials are pretty good but kind of overpriced

The guy that can hold down one key and call it Music.
Same with the Avenger philosophy.
Looking forward to a time when someone with an idea can actually program their own Synths.
But it aint happening anytime soon when every bedroom Producer on the Planet borrows from people that make a living from borrowing.
Nexus and Avenger the cancer of music imo.
I am obviously not a fan.
