Maybe i´m just crazy due to starring at these wonderful flows :D
Another thing is in the manual there is a settings for "binaural" or "equal power" but in the plug-in it doesn´t exist.
Seems the manual needs an update too.
But, i´m still in deep love with this thing
I'm enjoying it so much that I'm kinda willing to over-look the short-comings, etc - at least for now. It's easy to get lost in it, it's so hypnotic :)
Exact, it can go fast out of control with some sound sources but i had not so much fun in a long time with a music production tool like with this here.
Maybe one day i will record something with it rather than get lost in the flow :hihi:

has this been updated to 1.1 yet?

Not to my knowing, but it should be soon though.
Well, hope so.

I find it strange and crippling that the trigger modes are only Midi & Sequencer, with no ‘Random’ mode that would simply emit particles at a random rate/ & speed. That would really add an organic / less sequenced feel with even more depth to it.

Indeed that would be great but you also could trigger it via single midi note via a random arp or so.
And of course you can get similar "random" results when you modulate parameters of the flow, position etc. f.e.
Or modulate the volume with noise f.e.

I'd been ignoring this thread for a while for some reason.. Whoops.

Once I discovered what Dust was, it was an instant-buy. This thing is so hauntingly hypnotic. Some of the presets... just hit play in your DAW, close your eyes.. and you're off to another world.

Well done, SoundMorph.

I 100% agree about a random mode!!

This plugin is cool, but I don't like constantly repeating sequence automation. Dust looks so organic that I was surprised it didn't have a random feature. This thing begs to have a random feature. Maybe something like a random bouncing ball that never repeats.

Went ahead and got this; one thing I found (on Win10) is you have to precreate the dirs to install the .dlls to, installer won't create them for you. Also, you have to turn play on in the DAW transport for the single midi note mode to work (as others have said too)
But, whoa - you can have a different sample per emitter? Didn't see that coming, had expected one sample for the entire patch, very nice! Each emitter also can have a different mode, and the emitters themselves can also be set to move about the screen (also the effectors), or change their angle or speed of "emission" all while the patch is playing - lots of interaction going on
VST 2 version appears to be working here in FL Studio 12.3 Win10 64-bit, very cool sounds, just going thru the presets so far

I second that motion

To be able to play with it in real time, tinkering on the midi-keyboard, adds a lot of expression possibilites, that running a sequence misses

i would also think a stretching option would be great, i played with intervall around but it's mostly again sounding so looped in short sequences

Anyone familiar with Sound Particles (http://soundparticles.com/) willing to make a comparison? SP is more expensive and appears to have much more going for it, but I wonder how different the end product sound files are

Not sure what you are saying here....I am quite familiar with SP but not with Dust and was hoping for some comparisons from someone who knows both
