Not fixed i use latest version. Still blurry! Its bothersome that its blurry on hd displays. Its not just fonts, i can see clear difference on how entire gui presents itself it gets blurry and that is annoying. I respect it gets better but needs way more work! I love that you guys work so hard! Thanks for everything you serve your customers but i hope this gets fixed

OSC up to 400 ! CPU hit up to 200% in VPS
1 note:
Beat: 36 OSC
Lead: 36 OSC

VPS still has lots of work on their queen.
I would like to love this synth, but I guess we have to wait some more months until the real problems are solved.
I think the presets should all be checked, because some some presets use 7 OSC/voice, while you can have the same result with 3 with detune.

In this example I lowered most OSC to 3 instead of 5 or 7 voice and the difference is enormous !

But still not enough to be played.

Also another problem: I cannot SAVE a preset? Right click save does not work?

Please VPS, get a team together that can solve these problems in a short period because you guys a re losing customers by the minute !

And to be honest, it breaks my heart because this could be a great product !
Here's the preset with low CPU consumption

In case you are on Mac, you might be able to change that manually using this path:

~/Library/Application Support/VENGEANCE/VPS Avenger/config.xml

Isn't there an entry on the SYS tab of the central editor of avenger which allows you to designate the location of your factory content? Have you changed it there?

You can't open the SYS page, everything is blocked until you locate/install the library, it seems to be another form of copy protection...

I see. Well I tried :)

this thread is quite long now and I haven't really seen my questions answered anywhere.

have there been any reviews or comments about each of the Avenger addon library packs?

even with the sale the packs are $56 each (regularly $70 yikes!).

I think even with all the bugs or some peoples issues I am ready now with the latest version of Avenger to jump on board and purchase.

but I wish there was a discounted bundle or better reviews of the addons.

anyone have any feedback?

I haven't tried them but I agree the pricing is steep. Some of those expansions are $70 for packs of like 130 presets. That said, Vengeance is famous for its sound design.

Anyway it's a non-issue for me. I don't need any more presets, I bought Avenger for its sound design potential. And if I need a quick starting point, I'm sure I can find something in the original 900+ patches of the factory library.

I ended up buying all 3 of the addons. Call it a GAS leak :hihi:

Regarding what Razzai said above: I agree that if you don't need more presets, don't go there. Avenger is an amazing sound design platform.

But having said that, I like them. I was concerned that the quality wouldn't be as high as the factory presets, but that concern is squashed. Mind you, I haven't gone through all of the presets (nor have I gone through all of the factory ones), but so far I'm digging the addons.

Do you need them? Well, if the genre you're shooting for is one that the packs cover, then yeah, I think so. Perhaps the EDM one isn't a necessity as the factory presets cover that pretty well.

Anyway, if it's a question of a GAS leak for yourself, that's up to you to figure out. But if you're looking to cover specific things that aren't covered in the factory library, and you don't want to do all the programming yourself, I think the add-ons are worth it.

Note, if you decide to buy more than one, do NOT add them all to the shopping cart at the same time. There's a cross-purchase discount that takes 10% off if you buy more than one... BUT.... you can't add that discount on top of the current XMAS20 discount code that takes 20% off. This means that you can't get the 20% XMAS discount on the second and third packs if you buy them all at once. So, buy them one at a time.

I almost contacted Vengeance about asking them if they'd allow a 20% + 10% discount if I purchased them all, but didn't bother despite the fact that I decided that day to buy them all (and did buy them individually, so that I could get the 20% vs 10% discount).
