This new version (v1.5) is preset compatible with the current version, so it can replace it.zvenx wrote:Thanks Andy,
and this version isn't compatible with the older version and is meant to be installed side by side. Correct?
Or am I just making up stuff as I go along ?:-)

I've already got some great sounding oscillators, better than the ones I did for Synth Squad, and I will do several synths in the near future, hopefully 2017.egbert101 wrote:Andy,
You really should add some oscillators and make a monosynth. Even better if they are circuit modelled oscillators.

Thanks Andy, I could have sworn I read elsewhere.....andy-cytomic wrote:This new version (v1.5) is preset compatible with the current version, so it can replace it.zvenx wrote:Thanks Andy,

thanks

Ahh maybe that's where I got it from. So even automation should work fine between the versions?

Looking forward to this, will be a nice present just in time for Christmas.
The new synths sound interesting, can't wait to check them out next year.

I was going to add an extra FSU knob and modulation for it, which would break everything, but decided against it. It's much more useful to add the resonance boost trimpot and keep everything else as close as possible so everyone doesn't have the pain of a different major version. The new version will only break automation if you automated the filter circuit selector control, and automated the LFO1 Midi button, both of which are edge cases I'm sure you'll agree.zvenx wrote:andy-cytomic wrote:............. Ooh nice! The trimpot with an arrow is a clever UI idea.
So the trimpot will take resonance from 100 to 125? But what if the trimpot is all the way to the right and the res knob is at zero...is res then at 25 or zero? Guess I'll find out in a day or 2.
What doess the WIDE button do?
WSP & AMU
What's AMU?!
Questions questions...Hope the extra RES doesn't make my ears bleed.

The trimpot changes the yellow section from 100%-125%, to being from 100%-200%, below 100% the resonance remains unchanged.spunkmuffin wrote:Ooh nice! WSP is a Wasp filter model, the AMU is a transposed SVF similar to the one in the Odyssey mk1, and there is a KSM filter, which is a variation of a Sallen Key. The extra resonance sounds great, I wish I had sorted out these algorithms for release, but better late than never

Indeed.
Just to clarify, I was seeking clarity not complaining

Yes! A Cytomic synth is at the top of my wish list.andy-cytomic wrote: I've already got some great sounding oscillators, better than the ones I did for Synth Squad, and I will do several synths in the near future, hopefully 2017.
