yes, the "soft iLok" option is available. that's what i use.

If you ever add the option of further increasing the gui size, Xils, you'll have a buyer in me. Nice sounding synth.

I can confirm. You just have to own an iLok account with iLok manager app installed, no dongle required anymore.

i think the 3rd osc gives it a whole different dimension. Very impressed took me a second to work out that the 2nd filter only works if use the blend knob at the bottom of adsr 1. Strange place to put it i can see why u put it there no room :band:

well, the filters are running through the VCA/ADSR1, so it made sense to me when i saw it there.

As long as it works. However it would be nice to have some indication of the tuning etc when using a controller. I have to click on the control in the UI to see what tuning it is or what freq the filter is at

i have problems with ilok version i upgraded but my daws can't open the 64 bit verison, i get ilok protected warning. In bitwig with 32 bit it still works. Never had such ilok problems before. my old polykb2 was elicenser

Post

I bought the upgrade with the iLok too, after having eLicencer before and it didn't work for me either. If you take a look in the iLok manager it is clear that you have to surrender your old PolyKB license in order to install the upgrade..., which we both have in eLicencer.

I have contacted Xils to see if we can work this out somehow. It was NOT clear, at least not to me, that you had to have an iLok license to surrender, but of course it might have been obvious...

At the moment i only find the NKS presets for PolyKB II (or 2.5).
Exactly ..... and will NKS presets also be done for the Analog Ville soundset I purchased along with the upgrade ?
PKB III should become NKS compatible near end of January/February 2017, if all goes well. Atm we're waiting for some additional presets to complete the factory library, so it wouldnt make sense to port it to NKS now. AnalogVille probably wont be ported to NKS though ( Unless you can convince NI to send me an NKS keyboard of course) Also because it would need an installer to do so (vs now only using the import function in PKB II or III, one click and it's done)

Xils is investigating this case atm. Normally it would make sense that people choose the same protection scheme to upgrade but we'll see.

And you're right, it was not clear, or not clearly specified to be precise, on the site.

Yes, there was a choice to be made at a moment between under the two filters, or the VCA Ev. Both logics had their arguments -signal path wise-, finally the feeling was that the GUI was more balanced like this.

Sorry to quote myself, but I forgot to mention  that the 3.01 fixes the bug of AU validation as well. When I said that Xils was usually pretty responsive for such bugs ...

The iLOK registration went pretty trouble free for me, I redeemed the licence.

To register the PolyKB III license on my iLOK I needed first to surrender the PolyKB II license I already had on it.

When that was done I registered both PolyKB II and III to the iLOK. Both products works afterwards.

The way it looks in iLOK manager:
PolyKB II & III (2) [Locked group]
-PolyKB III [Product]
-polyKB [Product]
PolyKB III sounds mighty fine, but I wonder if it uses a bit more CPU than PolyKB II ?

Party time! :wheee:

Thanks for manning the helm here at KVR for us, Lotuzia. As well as thanks for your wonderful presets (bought Analog Ville for sure!) :hail:

Thanks  This goes straight to my heart. The strange thing is that when I began to work on AnalogVille, I wasn't aware that Xils was planning the PolyKB III version. But my feeling was that I had plenty of things that remained unexplored on the PolyKB II, even after all these years/all these patches. ( And I also had to verify a theory of mine to mimic analog drift, and the PolyKB was the perfect instrument for that). Glad you enjoy it.
