Fully agree to most what has been criticized about the current GUI:
- precious display real estate wasted by preset browser (should get it's own view) and keyboard (almost totally useless)
- important parts cramped into tiny areas (mod matrix, FX panels,...)

Same here, I love it! But still there is space to improve. Thats how it is with very much everything. Things just aren't perfect - especially in this case you will have to compromize since there are 1000 people with at least 1001 opinions and different display setups.noiseboyuk wrote:I'm not sure how we got on to discussing wholesale GUI redesign. I think there might be some useful tweaks and I've no problem with making tweak suggestions (I've done some myself), but the overall concept of the UI is a very large part of the reason I like Avenger, and it's silly to talk about massive changes. If you don't get on with the UI, don't buy the synth is my view. I don't have any other synth this big where it's all there right in front of me, and that - plus all the drag and drop - is why I like it.

The points are merely something i'd like to see. It is an expensive plugin with great options, lush sound, but could use some improvements gui-wise.noiseboyuk wrote:I'm not sure how we got on to discussing wholesale GUI redesign. I won't stop using it if they wouldn't change anything, gui wise. But some good customer feedback, after weeks of usage, is good i think. They can do something with it, or not. Whatever.

I wish there was more voices option! If i use 3 osc, long tail ive noticed a lot of issues when trying to make a mono patch. I set voices to 4 but then if tail is long it wont be cut. Its really trublesome making mono patches. If i set to legato then the envolope will not retrigg if notes are overlapping. I would like for true mono possibilities being made more easy! Strange that we cant set uneven voices number. Its 1,2,4 etc. Or make a mono buttonmsvs wrote:this is possible, just set the polyphony to 1/1. Avenger is true monophone nowAvenger has legato but missing mono midi that retriggers the envelope. Legato is mono but it doesnt retrigger

why not visit the Voicing Page of each osc and set the limit there to 1/1?

If Avenger does not have authentic cowbell-modelling it is a joke and completly useless.

How exactly does the current comb filter work?msvs wrote:Is it possible to get a 1:1 keytrack for the Comb filter?
in the future - yes
the comb filter works totally different and needs to be redesigned completely to have keytrack. It will be a new comb filter type then, rather than the old one pimped.
Also would you also consider a phaser in the filter section that also works with keytrack? Using the Bandstop filter in place of a phaser works for single band but becomes tedious to implement a four band phaser, and can't do five or six bands.
Thanks

Would he say it... needs more cowbell? SorryKlinke1 wrote:If Avenger does not have authentic cowbell-modelling it is a joke and completly useless.

Honestly the more I play with this thing, the more I just want to come back to this thread every thirty minutes and gush about it. It's not perfect yet, but it might be the most capable synth I've used.
Some thoughts...
I would like if it there were an easier way to bypass modulations. Would be great if there were either a little activate/deactivate light for mod sources when you right click the little yellow triangle (rather than just a delete button). Alternatively, right clicking a mod source in that little context menu highlights the mod source in the matrix, the same way right clicking a routing destination does. That way you can spot it right away and hit the power button.
I love that you can modulate the FFT filter. It adds so much great additive capability. You can almost mimic the phaser from Harmor, and I really like that kind of hamfisted approach to phasing for certain sounds.
Edit - one other thought: is it possible to determine the phase relationship between different unison voices? All I see is random phase, and then an option to set the starting phase of all voices, in which case they all start in phase with each other.

already have that on the list for a future updateAlternatively, right clicking a mod source in that little context menu highlights the mod source in the matrix
nope, sorryEdit - one other thought: is it possible to determine the phase relationship between different unison voices? All I see is random phase, and then an option to set the starting phase of all voices, in which case they all start in phase with each other.
it works with small delays, which cause cancellationsHow exactly does the current comb filter work?

hi folks,
been excited so much before release now I'm even more excited to sink my teeth into this new baby, congrats Vengeance, you did it again
I only have one tiny problem though, probably it's me, coming home from night shift, giving it a spin, but I just can't find a way to route OSC/layer 2 to ARP2 as it links itself automatically to ARP1. how does this link this osc to that arp/amp/etc. by colour code thing works because I just can't figure it out lol. must be too tired but getting on my nerves...
thanks

If ARP 2 was alraedy added by you in the ARP tab you should click on the "ARP1" label in the Osc "Route" section and get a drop-down menu where you could select ARP 2.daradei wrote:hi folks,

Of course this could only work if you already added a second Arp in the ARP section/tab. Overalkl it seems to be possible to create up to 8 ARPs there.

I would like one day to implement the drag in drop midi function, and recording notes in the arpeggiator
